A tiger by the tail

is still a tiger, this has a meaning behind it can anyone unravel it?

I think its like even though someone has a tiger by its tail its still a tiger and can kill them lol. Its probably like “just cuz ur down doesn’t mean ur beaten” typa saying

Just because you have an advantage doesn’t mean you won

That’s my interpretation anyway

When you have ‘a tiger by the tail’, it’s implying you are in a situation that is more dangerous than you think.

It’s more akin to the ‘biting off more than you can chew’ adage, with an added element of potential danger.

Even if you manage to capture something really dangerous and have the upper hand, it is still deadly so don’t let your guard down

Happens all the time when I get some smurf down on health then the ADADADAD spam happens and I get lolganked.

Tiger by the tail implies a (bad) situation in which you are now involved and cannot stop without risking harm/misfortune on yourself.

If you let go the tiger can get you, however if you hold on you are going to go wherever the tiger goes (and it’s probably just going to get madder and madder).

In the desert, the cheetah can survive for three years, the person who catches a tiger by the tail, for 9 seconds. --Ana, probably.

aka don’t chase an enemy by your own <3

Nothing is final, it can still be turned around.

I.E.: you have Hanzo at 1 while playing as Tracer, you move in to melee finish but he gets a lucky headshot.
