First of all some website issues:
<1> I, had to/could, click the Login button several times before it logged me into my Battle.net account on the OW (Overwatch 2) Forums website.
<2> Account logins are not carried over from Battle.net to OW or between pages within the OW (or forums.blizzard) website domain.
These bugs have to be known by now, and I hope these will get fixed soon.
Than the actual reason to come here. Because one of my favourite OW content creators got an unfair match-up. Rank wise, but most of all stack wise. He bumped into a match, twice in a row, with a platinum 3 stack. How is this possible and why is this possible? How non-functional could the matchmaker be to allow; a 3 stack, platinum rank; together with a top 500, who can only stack up to 2; enter the same game? And why did the development team allow this bug to exist in the first place? This must be a matchmaker design error, right?
The original video and footage was posted on the main YouTube-channel from mL7, “mL7”:
The timestamps for highlights are:
- 0:34 for a player overview in the 1st game.
- 4:34 for a player overview in the 2nd game.
- from 3:00 to 3:30 for a change of words between mL7 and the 3-stack
I’d suggest to revise the whole matchmaker at this point. I don’t think bandaging the thing will only make it worse… for everybody. But I’m far from being an expert.
Hope things will get fixed soon. We players need miracles from the OW team it feels like.
