A “surrender” option for comp?

This is just an idea, and yes, i know it can get exploited, but I think its better than nothing.

Playing stricly today, ive had 4 matches with leavers, and weve inevitably lost afterwards. My question is simply why is it imparitive that the game be complete even though there is a massive handicap to one team? In my years of playing, i think ive only won 3 matches while down a person. 2 were legitimate wins while 1 happened near the end of the match.

Now, i dont have all the answers, but why can’t there just be an option for the disadvantaged team to all vote to end the match, allow the enemy team to win, and take a reduced loss to SR.

Sure, can the system be exploited by a coordinated team? Yes. But as it is now until a backfill option is made, im just stuck playing a lost match until the game ends thinking about the SR im about to lose.

I can see this working in higher tiers but in lower ones where pbsr is still used, I’m not quite sure how it will work.

Personally i think SR should be flat rate for all tiers. Performance based is stupid because people who throw are going to throw just as hard and people who are underranked will climb anyway. Its just convoluted and stupid as is.
