A Support with a tracking weapon

Why is there literally just not a Support with a tracking weapon? DPS has a ton, like Tracer, Sombra, Soldier, etc. Tank has Ball, Zarya, Dva, and Mauga.

Support is the only role without a tracking weapon.

Hmm. Now that you mention it, that is pretty weird.

Symmetra almost counted, but her primary was an auto-aim throughout her entire time as a Support.

I guess Illari might also count if we’re talking about healing only.

I would have argued that it’s to prevent them from truly “competing” against DPS, but at this point Baptiste is just a better Soldier 76 and a good Illari dominates against enemy backline/squishies.

I’d have to guess that to basically make their healing the “highlight” of their kit, they give them a gimmicky way to do damage.

This has to be a bait post right? Like there have only been a few heroes that dont really need tracking. Rein, winston, brig, Noodle sym are the only ones who require very little tracking.

But seriously though, I want a tracking weapon like Tracer’s or Ball’s. High damage but you need to be precise with it

Tracking is a style of aim. Not aim itself. For example, you don’t track with Echo’s primary, but you do with her beam.

So you want hitscan? not projectile?

What about bap, illari, ana? They are hitscan who need to track?

Or do you want like SMG style guns, low damage but many bullets?

Tracking is as a general rule hitscan. Although projectiles DO track up close if they’re fast, like Sojourn.

Bap doesn’t really track with his weapon because it’s burst.

Illari is single fire and aims each individual shot

Ana is also single fire and aims every individual shot.

SMGs would be great, but a beam or whatever Ball has would be fine too.

Thanks for the clarification, I was so confused becuase litterally everyone needs to track, some just need to track/predict becuase projectiles.

What about Lifeweaver? Full automatic projectile. Tracking+leading shots.

Personally I don’t like leading my shots. I’m a Tracer and Ball main, so I like just full on tracking.

I do really enjoy LW though! He just doesn’t have the type of weapon I really like.

“Tracking aim is the skill that you need to effectively trace and follow the silhouette of a moving enemy with your crosshair”
