You’ve both outed yourself as a NLOG and feel the need to question people for liking games. You could say the same thing about LoL, WoW, Fortnite etc. People like games. Not that deep
If you find yourself agog at the fact that many girls find video games (even ones YOU like) as fun as you do, I suggest you go out and talk to some girls. Not in a “lol you’ve never met a girl” before manner, but in a “you need to actually talk to girls and learn the things they like” way.
They are remarkably similar to boys as far as potential likes and dislikes once you remove old stodgy societal pressure.
overwatch was my introduction to games in general, and i liked it because 1. it looked fun and 2. the lore was interesting at the time.
i mostly play dead by daylight now, though, and i don’t particularly consider myself to be an ‘egirl.’ not that there’s anything wrong with being one :S i don’t particularly understand the point of this. is it some kind of odd “i’m not like other egirls!” mindset?

Also actual fact Female gamers are more than male gamers, just that majority are in mobile gaming, the thing with overwatch is they managed to tap into it a bit with diverse fun cartoonish heroes.
Ana sleep there is not a fps game that can give these kind of moments of trolling.
Other shooters are just too focussed on killing.
Same reason apex legends also attracts more females.

Lol I don’t really talk but I am kinda toxic, I make those asterisks show up in chat every once in a while. I play quite a bit of Ana myself and I can’t stand people who just won’t switch or don’t listen for what’s happening behind them
I’m decently sure there are more women playing than most (even other women) are aware. I avoid voice chat with people I don’t know because I want to have fun when playing, and to have fun I don’t want to risk being bothered with people acting like 
because I happen to have a set of XX chromosomes instead of XY. Basically, I want to play and have fun like any other person playing.

It’s a game with a very low skill floor. Anyone can pick it up rather quickly, its meant to cater to everyone, even the super casual gamers
Bold to assume it’s only OW. How you know who is playing behind the computer screen? The vast majority of the women are not going to reveal their gender in video games that are predominately dominated by men for extremely obvious reasons.
The difference is that Blizzard is more vocal about “egirl” stuff that you see on the frontpage of Battlenet.
My sister loves playing Tekken and no one will ever know they’ve faced a girl in Ranked match. 95% are like that.
