Blizzard games used to be better. But guess what, so did ALL games.
The video summarizes so much that they fail to do. Which is just working with good ideas, running with them and not doing all this extra garbage.

My personal conspiracy theory-- something happened with whole world in the end of 2013 and then this happened again in 2017 . Not only bliz, from game i industry and politics to climat change…everything gradually gets worse.

Nah a lot of games are better now.
Whether it’s doom or RPGs or soulslike.
Racing or tac shooters or survival games or horror shooters.
Only some companies like blizand ubisoft have become mediocre.
The monetization model has changed for the worse in most games but there is plenty of games that quality wise have improved way more .
Indie scene is also thriving.
Only blizzard has gone down hill.
It’s almost too lucky they got bought by ms for this price hard carried by cod and candy crush.

I kinda feel like this has happened after every corporate merger thats ever taken place.
The resulting merged entity becomes 100% h*llbent on profit, it will literally stop caring about customers, employees, health & safety, literally all that goes out the window. Stock price and profit margins become everything.
Jon Oliver’s latest episode describes the process in great detail in regards to what happened to Boeing. What happened to Blizz is almost the same story. Sorta.

Oh. Imo blizzard games quality wise are on par with what they have always been. I think OW is and has been one of the better fps I’ve ever played. I haven’t played D4, but I did play D3 and D:I and those were both pretty good quality wise as well. Of course nothing can live up to d2…
Anyways, everyone has their own opinion. I will still be buying blizzard games over other companies. And if other companies have “improved way more,” that’s just because they had a LOT to improve upon, whereas blizzard games have always been polished.
(but I will admit they have had some VERY big blunders, like warcraft reforged lol)

now they have stagnated.
ow is a good game due to the solid fundamentals it has, though now they have started chipping at it too.
blizzard has become the most stagnant aaa studio after ubisoft currently.
Company could be run by the devil, and if game is good or entertaining people would still play it… And where is your principles… Your on this forum run by the the company you loath… I really hate people who don’t put money where their mouth is… You know the saying lead by example…

Is this something new or just the good old Blizzard slander? It was entertaining for a while (around 2019 to 2021), but it loses it exclusiveness after years of it. Maybe because I dont play anything besides OW and the OW devs are mostly excluded from the BS was is going on.
