You cant win with this fanbase, I love it to bits but this fanbase is one of the most ungrateful and whiny lot when it comes to anything in this game. Maybe we should all stop talking about nerfs, buffs, and how heroes copy each other and how the devs arent doing a good job. Maybe we should take some time to appreciate that the devs listen to their community from time to time and that the devs are people to. Cut them a break, why cant their ever be a post where we talk about something positive in the game instead of dogging on it every chance we get. You have to realize that yes, the devs can tweak and rework heroes, but us, the community of Overwatch contribute to the feel and fun factor of the game to. So next time you go to make a rant on how broken or bad a hero is, stop and think about if that post is really necessary and will be met with good feedback and listened to.
I sense a paradoxā¦
I think he means the game.
Iām going to assume youāre drawing your conclusions entirely from the forums. In which case all I can tell you is, youāre doing it wrong. Stop it.
Yes. Overwatch is one big disfunctional family. Sad @@
Genji wants to counter everything.
Moira is still convinced she doesnāt have lock on.
Mercy wants to be respected.
Meiā¦well sheās just a little cold devil.
Doomfist just wants to be faster.
Sombra wants more damage.
We just donāt know what Soldier wants.
Reaper wants Mei deleted.
Hammondā¦is just Hammond
You may continue from hereā¦
Remember when OW2 was announced and people were demanding it should be freeā¦
Here they comeā¦
You know what really urks me about this fanbase?
- The hyprocrisy
- How everyone seems to think they are the only one who deserves to play whatever hero they wish, and everyone should switch
- How their role has been nerfed and stigmaād
Iāll be short and sweet, I only played this game because of Ashe, and feel like unless more heroes are balanced like her this game will not last. This is not a competitive shooter, itās about as competitive as Smash Brawl.
Moira functionally has lock on. Everyone who says different is in denial.
Thatās every fanbase for every gameā¦
I wish someone would make an edited gif of the scene from Lord of the rings movie in the mines and edit the subs to āThey have a Moira mainā.
youāre taking the forums way too seriously this is the place to vent and talk about what frustrates usā¦ i love overwatch to my bones and i can make a thread saying just that but itāll get buried under the sea of "reeeee"s (thatās what i call the not so grateful threads) but if i make a thread talking about something thatās very debatable and kinda wrong itāll get a lot of attention because people who roam the forums and arenāt angry, theyāre here to argue (myself included)
so hereās my suggestion whenever you see a dumb thread just donāt reply to it simple as that
if someone says ādonāt do this thingā āor you shouldnāt do that thingā just reply with āwell iām gonna do it if i wanna and stop me if you canā (but obviously donāt do anything illegal)
i agree to a certain degreeā¦ i hate it when ppl voice their opinion before a patch goes live 9/10 times we all are gonna be wrong about how itās gonna pan out and it takes people at least a couple of weeks to get used to the new patchā¦ i also hate it when they just repeat what pros say we already know what they think from their youtube or twitch channels i want to know your opinion
ā¦ so if theyāre voicing their own opinions and they have actually experienced the game instead of just theorycrafting itās cool to talk about nerfs and buffs
i have usually been on the devsā side when it came to these kinda argumentsā¦ but iām not sure if i shouldāve been anymoreā¦ after reading this
i kinda feel betrayedā¦ like if they were working on overwatch 2 to make more money i wouldāve been more than happy to pay for pve content and it really makes me wonder what overwatch couldāve been if they actually worked on itā¦
i personally do! i love the āmemeā-y voice lines and the nerfs and buffs because of community outcries
what i donāt appreciate is the secrecy reduced communication and lack of new content
there are! trust me there are but they get buried really quick because thereās nothing to talk about in those threadsā¦ letās say you make a thread discussing an amazing idea you had then iāll click on it and read it then iāll think to myself āwow thatās actually something i donāt mind seeing in the gameā¦ā gives you a ā¦ then thatās it thatās all i can do for youā¦ the devs have to take notice and make it into an actual feature
i always thought that that part of the forums where people constantly make threads to āreeeeā at the devs is a side-effect of the devs actually listening to the community so it makes them think oh maybe if i yell loud enough theyāll do what i want!
Youāre right lol, just seems like theres more negativity than positivity. Maybe Iām not seeing the full picture.
itās not thatā¦ iām just saying that the forums are different they were created in a way that negativity winsā¦ honestly when you play the game 90% of the people are either nice or neutralā¦ the game is like hanging out at your local pub and the forums are like āstepping outsideā
didnāt read, l2 paragraph.
Its a good idea to stay far away from fandoms in general. As for myself, I lurk here for news and to get morbid kicks off watching you eat each other.
This
This right here.
Especially with the r/destinythegame right now.
That place is filled with manchildren crying right now.
Part of that is a lot of people have grown bitter over the devs not communicating here anymore. We feel like the devs are stonewalling us, and that they donāt value (or even pay attention to) our feedback anymore. It ramps up any frustrations with the game up to 11.
People here argue all the time over whether or not XYZ phenomenon is what the devs really want, or if they even know about the issue at all.
A lot of the arguments and complaints could be put to rest if a dev replied, clarified what they think about the topic/explain their reasoning, and whether thereās any plans to do anything about it.
Most players would be a lot more understanding of the gameās imperfections if they knew what the devs plan to do about them. A public ādevelopment roadmapā would be a godsend at this point, no matter how vauge. At least weād know the devs were doing something about the things that frustrates us.
But since we have no way of knowing whatās going on behind the opaque curtain of Overwatch, all we can do is vent about whatās in front of it.
Welcome to the OW Forums.
You should make the kinds of posts that you want to see. Pretty sure thatās what everyone else does.
