in the last few weeks i have noticed that most of the higher ranks are just filled to the brim with boosted animals. people who are masters or higher and just cannot play the game. i swear to god i am getting bonebreaker ai instead of teammates. its every game aswell at this point, just someone who is performing so atrociously that they solo lose the game.
in the last few seasons people who should not be climbing have been, and it has gotten to the point where master+ lobbies are filled with people who were gold or silver in season 1.
im not one to normally blame my teammates, but when my support has more damage, kills then both dps combined you can clearly see there is a MAJOR issue.
I feel u, GM is unplayable due to cheaters and people being boosted by the system to crazy hights.
Just had a GM game where the entire enemy team are seasonal GM’s and my tank was Silver and 1 of my healers was gold all previous seasons and somehow they now are in GM with me and we didn’t even manage to leave spawn as they have the game sense of a potato.
you didn’t play in Gm1 to say that, GM1 have never been that bad and i m playing the game since 2017 at top500 level, so many ppl have mid- master level at best (in gm1) of course there is still good players but they are mixed with bad players, which makes games feel terrible
just wanted to say that this feeling people have is just the whole game right now at every rank
You do realize that “rank reset” won’t push out those players from those rank? Since rank is not a “objective measure of skill” but rather “where you fall on the bell curve relative to the rest of player base”
And those players will be back at those ranks, all you will achieve is just a lot of mess during the process

I think it can be enlightening to some people here that think "that player does not belong in Xrank:
You can take any hanfuls of random players from OW that have been reaching higher ranks than before and you’ll find players who don’t think that they’re in ranks they really belong. The new matchmaking system has really flopped and is just awful overall. It isn’t just randomly one of the most complained topics about the game overall. Even though it was complained to some degree in OW1 for not having certain finetuning to it, it was still way much better than what we have now because it had some of the most crucial restrictions to it that are a necessity for it to work properly. Those were removed during the worst droughts and they still refuse to put them back in the game. That’s why it’ll never do a decent job most of the time
Fully understand how u feel, Had a moira in my game who was hard stuck silver in ow1 suddenly “Improve” and hit GM5. He was boasting about having most healing done on moira which is a sentence I havent heard since I was gold in like S9.
Sadly tho thats what happens when the game suddenly gains popularity after being dead for 3 year. Every rank is just so much then how it was back in S36
As someone who was boosted from plat/diamond in ow1 to low masters in ow2, i dont think a rank reset would do anything frankly. I just think the average skill of the player has lowered since Ow2 because of the influx of new players, so its pushing people who were “average” in OW1 higher.
A rank reset would just cause chaos in the beginning, then itll level out to how it currently is over time with a few people ending up higher or lower than before said reset.
They just need to find every account in Masters/GM that was plat or lower 2 or more seasons ago and derank them back to metal ranks. It’s gonna make boosted people whine but who cares. No one, and I mean NO ONE climbs from hardstuck Silver to Masters/GM in 3-4 seasons. That may seem like a long time but it isn’t.
