Are you sure you’re playing on the Middle East server? The game no longer respects your choice of region, but decides for itself which server to put you on.
CTRL-SHIFT-N will toggle on and off the server information, and you can cross-reference the name and/or ip address with public information on what servers exist if you need to.
WHOIS databases show where it was registered, not necessarily where it is located.
