You bring up fair points.
I spent time mainly focusing on adjustments that would be balanced while providing Mercy with a small burst option. The skill I believe is merely shifted from beam prioritization, to proper timing of the ability. If it has too much uptime, the cooldown can be increased to making timing the ability’s usage more important.

Saw i.e. past tense i.e. not when they wre making the thread. I skimmed through and there are some noteable differences:
- You removed res. They keep it.
- They didn’t return 60hps.
Their length and effectiveness increase of the E are different. - Your Valk is as long as live Valk.
- Your Valk automatically has the E active whereas theirs requires it be activated.
Also of every way to handle this you go with “STOP STEALING MY IDEA!” assuming they read your post.
On topic, say hello to the new pharmercy! Sounds okay to be added to the game but imo 60hps back is fine.

But it isn’t AoE, has weaker healing, and doesn’t deal direct damage, which is thematically still in line with Mercy’s kit while keeping her separate from Moira.
If you want to get technical, Moira’s heal beam is kinda similar to Mercy’s and that came second.

What do you think of potentially locking Valkyrie chain beams behind Biotic Beam?
Meaning while Valkyrie but not Biotic Beam is active, only one target receives the boost? That would return more choice to the Mercy player but I personally think ot would be too much of a nerf.
I want these Mercy changes to make her more impactful while keeping her balanced and not making drastic playstyle changes.
At OP: Anything short of a return to 60 HPs or mass rez is wasted time with most Mercy mains…
Her base kit is enough for heals/boost/mobility, I’d rather her E and Q add something entirely different, personally.
Oooor we just don’t want virtually everything in the kit to be about the beam and how we can make it more easy to use.
Give a suggestion for something that’s not a variation of “hold the beam” and I will listen eagerly.

This may actually be OP (coming from a Mercy main). There is a reason they refuse to combine damage boost and healing in one. Especially if it gets applied to all 5 targets and a resurrected target (if she resses at the end of Valk) for an additional 4s. I love the idea, but it may be too much for Mercy’s kit as this would extensively bloat her all over all.
Personally, I would just like to see Valk gone completely. I hate that Mercy has AoE healing since she wasn’t intended to have it. It also removes all of her weaknesses and weaknesses are what makes heroes exhilarating to play. You have a sense of danger at all times and Valk will never allow for the feeling of being fun when everything is done for Mercy in the first place.
