A nerf to cass grenade might be coming!

I’m sad about this one :sob: i’ve just started to actually enjoy and having fun with cass and his grenade :pensive:

I really hope they won’t go and ruin it THAT much!

Thank god! It’s the absolute dumbest burst damage in the game that you don’t even need to aim.

Just give it Ana range, remove the tracking aspect entirely and keep the damage and stick. I want to enjoy hitting the grenade. Not watch the grenade hit for me. And this justifies the damage because it can be missed. Why do you need to give easy mechanics to these things?

Targeting changes? Maybe it means you have to be more accurate/closer to the target (tighter cone)?

If they did a damage nerf maybe it would have to require 2 hits or a head shot + stick?

It’s arguably the dumbest ability in the game because of how lazily implemented it is.

I certainly doesn’t make Cree OP, but it’s a ridiculous ability. Honestly any (hitscan) attack that auto aims is silly imo. Not all of them are good or effective, but they’re all silly.

How convenient that the older flashbang only did 5 damage and gave McCree a reason to exist in the game… now it’s just another extra damage ability

Finally, this ability is so rediculous

Better they nerf the cheesy nade instead of listening to awful forum suggestions like dumpstering him back to 200hp

I know I have some controversial opinions about the game, but even I think mag grenade is stupid. I like the idea of caltrops or bolas or something to slow enemies, but I’m afraid people will lose their mind at any form of CC. Even if its necessary.

I personally would like to see a rendition of where Magnetic grenade will specifically stick to anyone who uses a mobility move near it so that it becomes better at punishing mobility.

The whole reason it’s so generous is to punish mobility–the problem is, it ends up punishing non-mobile heroes even harder.

Just make it flashbang again but instead of a full stun just make it slow and maybe disable movement abilities for 2-3 seconds or something.

Mag grenade isn’t even useful against the heroes it’s supposed to be good against. And for all the other heroes he’s not even supposed to counter them but then it feels bad because he gets cheap kills from it.

I had hoped OW2 would have dealt with braindead abilities by now. Cass’s grenade is one of the dumbest thing out there. I’ve met Cass in masters who still are better than most DPS impact-wise and yet can only kill me by using that auto-aim grenade. At close-range. Whilst he is super powerful hero at range. Wat?

Scrapp the ability already. Stop giving hitscan character crutches for garbo players.

Yesterday i played him. You’re right its fun to use this autoaim device. Not so fun in receiving side tho :wink:
Ov1 mcree was a offender – stunn and kill. Now he is older, has to relay on technology :wink:

P.s.on a second qp game ive got team kill with his ult, that was fun. He is so much easier to play than mercy , like a vacation :slight_smile:

From my biased POV:

I just wish Doomfist could block the damned thing. Every tank has a means to mitigate the damage from nade to one degree or another.

how much does it do again? it would be silly if its almost as much as tracers ultimate… wich isnt magnetic (wish it was but would be to op lol)

One hundred and thirty damage. So all it takes is a single body shot to go with it to get a kill on most characters, if there’s no sort of damage mitigation or such in play.

About time it got nerfed, this ability makes his stun look like it took skill.
