TF2 is like a person, that through failings and success has learned a trick, and they keep doing the same trick, stick the landing each time and it works, everyone is happy.
OW is like a person, that used to go through failings and success, and kept doing similarly the same trick with a little spice here and there, flawlessly sticking the landing for the most part,
now OW is afraid to do the trick, and instead of polishing it, or trying something they’ve managed to pull off, instead they occasionally hype themselves up for a brand new trick, each time they try the new trick, they are less likely to stick the landing, failing miserably, losing everyone’s patience and interest in the process.
Thank you for reading.
TL;DR: “why stick to something that works (TF2) when you can keep failing while constantly trying something new even though it’s clearly not working? (OW2)”
If Valve would deal with the bots once and for all, then TF2 would just be the better game. As is, you gotta either sift through official servers or peruse the community servers to find a decent match.
Great game, but the bot problem, while not as bad as before, is still incredibly annoying.
It’s not crossplay, but yes the servers for the console versions of TF2 are still online and active to this day. Not like super active, but you can definitely find a match.
Steam is convinient launcher that holds games without doing anything else, not to mention, it doesn’t for example lock you out of downloading game, just because it’s downloading it’s own update, unlike Battle.net
