A long, long list of "mc" names

I have seen many ironic comments on the Mc suffix: McDonald, McRoll, Mcfan, McRevolver …

obviously there is a slight affection for this “MC” and I seriously wondered how many names there are with this syllable:

excluding the choice of the name that will replace “Jesse”, so far my favorite surnames are: McCain, McLean, McCallister, McGrew, McClure (“hi, I’m troy M., you may remember me for …” :rofl:), MCoy , McOwen, McCroy.

Indeed. “Mc” is a contraction of “Mac” which means “son of”.

A lot of people have had children, so quite a few names like this started appearing.

McCoy would probably be an easy change for everyone. Sounds similar enough, and there are sayings like ‘the real McCoy’ that fit his personality.

in any case, I think it is also convenient for developers to keep the suffix “Mc”. I don’t know in the American localization, but for example in the Italian one there are a lot of skins starting with “Mc”. it would be a great time saver to edit all the words “mc”.

I used to watch Duck Tales when I was a kid and looking back, it seems crazy that they had a rich, mean duck based on Ebeneezer Scrooge, but they wanted him to be even more mean than a literary character famous for being mean, so they made him Scottish as well.
