A high-skill cap Widow rework that doesn’t have a stupidly high barrier for entry

Grappling Hook

Pressing Shift enters a Reaper Shadow Step-styled targeting mode, where a player can either;

  • Left Click - Fire the hook with auto-aim
  • Right Click - Fire the hook directly where you’re aiming, with slightly increased maximum range

Hook still functions the same (space to dismount and slingshot) and has the same cooldown.

Venom Mine

Turned into Proximity Sensor

  • Widow now has multiple mines she can deploy
  • Venom damage over time effect removed
  • 1 HP kept, wallhacks kept.
  • Untargetable by turrets. Burrows into walls like Junkrat’s trap does into the floor
  • Light blinks at a much slower rate.
  • Wallhacks broadcast to entire team, instead of just Widow

Functions like Sonic Arrow, but non-damaging, requires enemies to walk over them, and gives additional information through walls like Ultimate Charge.

Wallhacks become active for a brief moment upon activation, then fade out.

Widow’s Kiss

Sniper mode and SMG mode are removed, and replaced with Marksman Rifle.

Marksman Rifle

  • 3 round burst, 10 bursts per magazine
  • Fire rate is slow, 1 burst every 0.75s
  • Damage is 25 per bullet (75 per burst)
    • 2nd and 3rd bullet of every burst has slight weapon spread/crosshair bloom
  • 2x headshot multiplier (formerly 2.5x from sniper, unchanged from SMG)
  • No damage falloff
  • No damage charge mechanic

Secondary Fire causes Widow’s screen to zoom in instantly, where the sniper scope does NOT flip up. The screen just narrows the FOV just a tad, from 103 FOV to 80 FOV. Subtle darkened screen edges. Walkspeed exactly like D.Va when she fires her cannons in mech.

Infra Sight

  • Wallhacks removed
  • Transformation Ultimate. Widow reloads her rifle with a different canister
    • For fifteen seconds, Widow’s Marksman Rifle becomes overcharged and turns into a full fledged Sniper Rifle with poison dipped bullets.
    • Scope timers match Ana’s
    • She can noscope
  • Walkspeed while transformed is faster, like launch Nanoboost
  • Sniper Rifle does flat 120 damage on a bodyshot, plus 30 damage over time
    • 2x multiplier for headshots, for both the base damage and the damage over time, maximum of 300 damage per shot
  • Sniper mode doesn’t end when the ultimate timer ends. Any leftover bullets in the canister are kept until she either dies, reloads, or uses them all (she does not gain ultimate charge from these bullets). Bullets do not have damage over time without ultimate active.
