OK, this is something that I wanted to address after tons of other people pushing the “Tracer Card” on every other discussion when it comes to “diversity” in the roster.
“Amazing powers? a sense of duty? interesting personalities? tragic backstories? fallen heroes? traitors? spies? conspirators? radicals? victims of the crisis? victims of the evil powers that be? a quest for the truth? pffffft! who cares! nobody can relate to any heroes unless they share the same sexual preference or gender identity with me!”
That’s how those people sound, something that is so normal as to be LGBT is supposed to be in the background, or do you really want Tracer to keep talking about her relationship with another woman or how she is attracted to women a dozen times before the match starts?
For the record, I am bi.

Well we know a lot about their backgrounds, tragic stories, personalities, etc. Why not find out about their relationships?

Missing the point, is not like we should not, is just that certain things are supposed to be there in the background, a part of a whole, not the most relevant trait which is what some people keep demanding.

And really, the only people we know that even are in relationships or had one are Ana, Widow, Torb, and Tracer. So maybe the reason people want to know more is we barely know anything.

As I said, one thing is knowing they are there, another is having said traits being spammed as the only relevant thing, I am not against that, but there is a difference between a gay hero and a hero who is also gay.

I do not like these discussions. And I mostly relate to a Swedish midget whose proefession is in weaponsmithing and engineering and a genetically adapted giant gorilla with the IQ of a scientist.
As a pacific islander bi guy whose is military and has skills as an electritian.
The heros I most enjoy are also my most effective.
I do not need to know if Torbjorn has a gay secret relationship. I don’t wamna know if Winston has a fetish for primal female gorillas.
Just stop! I see this all the time and what people are doing are choosing to exclusively stick to something because ooohhh! You can relate to them.
That does not mean its the best gameplay choice. That does not mean you can force that kit and playstyle into your own playstyle. Its just clear film to make something seem alive when its not. I’LL TELL YOU WHAT IS ALIVE and that is the player and the video game. Not some pencil pushed lore to make a story. A non solid idra meant for entertainment.
And you cannot take entertainment too seriously. You just cannot.

All those things are already explored in the lore, with the exception of the characters’ personal life.
let’s open up a can of worms, but hey it’s fine because their bi. Everyone, no need to want to connect with characters they’re bi, they just shut down your entire argument before you made it.

These discussions are so embarrassing for the LGBTQ+ members who actually have some sort of peace in their lives.
No country group or enthnitity should ever wave their flag in someones face.
You know what that is considered to countries, individuals, and other enthnicities? An invasion and act of war. A reason to dislike it.
Be at peace and peace will find you. Simple as that. But making it a staple of everything you do and live up to be. May even hinder so much more than a game.

You mean like how the US waves the flag in absolutely everything… Peace is a very simple thing, you can live in peace and ignore the things you don’t like simply. You don’t have to view LGBT threads, you don’t have to look at the parades or watch anything about them on TV.
An act of war is constantly coming into conflict with another being over something they believe in or something they take pride in. You’re preaching about peace yet here you are doing the opposite of what you preach, to be in peace is to live and let live, you’re no better than anyone else so please step off of the ivory pedestal and learn some humility.

I’m against the pride skin because it’s about sexuality. I don’t think people should be going around showing off who they’re attracted to because it isn’t that important. Why would you want to wear that as a flag? Be proud of who you are every day, not for a month. Stop using your sexuality as some symbol or flag.
There is no Heterosexual skin because it doesn’t matter who’s heterosexual or homosexual or bisexual. I’m all for learning about personal lives and relationships but a skin and an icon about who you’re attracted to is over the top and pointless.

Anyway, the only war being fought is that of fools. You CAN leave it alone, go on your way about it if you don’t care for it. You are an individual, you have control over yourself, no one is bombarding you and forcing you to read anything LGBT related. Instead you sit here and complain, “war, invasion, i’m a victim” you have the power to control your fingers and eyes, and your mind and you can have your fantasies in private or in public I won’t judge you.
Alright lemme ask you this, so if I say I support the idea of Junkrat and Roadhog being a couple what exactly does that make me in your eyes?
I only ask because I get called many things under the moon, the sun, the stars for even mentioning the possibility and I’m interested to hear what you think.
And before anyone asks no I dont have a gay agenda to push junkrat could be a girl for all I care I’d still put the two together as it just makes sense to me.

Well for one think we need to stop being bullies and being so aggressive about it that we put people and whole companies into a corner for “feelings”.
We get it but this topic. This “showmanship” can be downright awkward for many people then it turns into a complete disgrace because conversations pike ours suddenly erupt as soon as someone expresses discomfort.

Makes sense. Its alright to fantasize that.
But so not announce it to the highest mountains or push for it to be real.
I mean keep it in a fanfic share it with a couple of people but as long as people do it comfortably abd choose to read such things than you’ve made a friend and thats the best way to develop a relationship. Through sharing and friendship. Real love carinf and compassion.
