I’m going to do the unthinkable and share my optimism for the changes. I’m just a silly guy that thinks these changes are extremely refreshing. You’re all free to have your own opinions and doomer threads but you won’t speak for me.
So I want to know, if you’re excited like I am about the changes coming this year, what are you looking forward to the most?
Any perks you’re excited to try?
Any sick nasty plays you’d like to pull off?
Stadium honestly just looks really cool. I love the idea of a section of the game where they can just throw in wacky stuff because competitive integrity doesn’t matter.
While I think the perks will make the game less balanced, and require tuning, I don’t really care. It will be fresh and fun. Many people are not playing ow for balance, but for fun.
So personally I am most excited to try out the perks, see how it feels game to game. Stadium also looks interesting, as the general playerbase seemed to love the junk lab, and this seems like a much bigger version of that. Also that Juno skin in s16, Gimmi.
Stadium looks awful. The opposite of cool. It’s for people who enjoy Total Mayhem.

That is quite a few people. Just like the numbers they gave that were playing junk lab. Seemed to be one of their most popular events ever. Best part is, it’s totally optional. Idk how much I will enjoy it, but others will love building their character more and having that experience.
Because it’s a terrible thing happening to the game and it needs to be said.
I’m excited about perks in general. Some are kinda meh some seem really cool. I hope they become thinngs that they are willing to toy with and make better as time goes on.
I’d rather do anything than play OW these last few months so anything that gets me at all interested is cool to me. I don’t know if I’d say I’m excited for it, but I am interested. Perks won’t bring me back, but maybe Stadium. I have a thing for seeing ranks go up or down, so want to see how ranked goes.
Junk lab got 15% of active players. I’m betting initially stadium does about the same. But I’m also betting that it drops to under half that within a season. And I am willing to bet 1/3 or less by the end of the year.
I have no doubt they will be making further adjustments to them. Maybe even replacing some with new ones if no one is using it, and it doesn’t fit. For example the mei one they increases wall duration and cd by 2s. Without changes, that is just significantly worse than having no perk.
You’re upset that most other people don’t seem to hate it as much as you wish they do, yeah.
Who knows what will happen. And junk lab having a bigger % of the playerbase than the 6v6 tests certainly shows there is demand for the talents in PvP. Even if I don’t like it myself, I feel like I can’t be upset with them trying something new and expanding on the game. Maybe it will die off, maybe it will be a big part of the game for many players, time will tell.
Most others just aren’t as vocal as me.
Just like junkensteins I wish the roster was bigger. Brig gets shafted from yet another fun game mode.
She was the beans in the le serrafim mode and that’s kinda it.
I’ll play it if there’s rewards for doing so and maybe not even that because I simply don’t care as much about the whacky game mode with heroes I don’t particularly care for that much.
Yeah this one is entirely and completely useless. My walls don’t last the entire duration anyway, and a lot of the time I manually drop them anyway because the enemy team won’t expect it. Unless they got significant HP Increases alongside it but I doubt that’ll happen.

You’re not alone in thinking this.
While my opinion over the past few months hasn’t exactly been very positive when it comes to Overwatch, after seeing all the stuff that’s coming to the game, I feel like a kid waking up on Christmas morning again. Lol
Honestly can’t wait to get on the game and mess around with everything. 
Yeahh I hope the pace for increasing the roster isn’t too slow. I’m assuming it’ll be a pretty high priority once the ball gets rolling but we’ll see 
They said they’ll have more heroes than they showed by the time it launched I believe? So that’s promising, but it seems like it’s kind of a ton of work per hero so I’m not sure how many more will be added. I guess we’ll have some ideas of how fast they can add them
Don’t imagine they’ll all be complete wins but I’m excited about the changes. The perks will add some depth and stadium looks right up my street.
Rank icons, map voting, loot boxes and the new heroes look good to me too.
There’s other stuff I’d like to have seen but this was a positive announcement as far as I’m concerned.
