"A Classy Flex" challenge needs to be adjusted

I’ve always had an issue regrading the “A Classy Flex” daily challenge. Which requires you to queue for All-Roles for three games. My major issues stem from it forcing players to play Tank, impacting match quality.

In short, my points are:

  • All-Roles often gives you the Tank role due to it being the least played role.
  • The challenge can easily be completed by just throwing games.
  • Most games with a poor tank can honestly be blamed on this challenge.
  • If you are given poor dailies (like “play in a group”) you might be forced to do it just to get your daily BP XP.
  • This is a permanent challenge, meaning it is always available to complete and impact games.

So why even do this challenge if someone really dislikes playing Tank? Its because the challenge is simple to complete. Its easier to just suffer three games as Tank than to do something like earn a team kill or earn 100 eliminations.

My suggestion to address this is to allow either three games queuing for All-Roles or three games selecting two picked roles. This might lower Tank numbers more, but I honestly would rather take someone trying to learn Tank as oppose to someone being forced to play it.

You know there’s a weekly challenge that makes you play 20 flex games, right?

Yup, but you can afford not to do certain weeklies. You arguably have to do at least three dailies though.

Also as a weekly it does not get reset. So you can just do flex games whenever you feel like it. As oppose to doing it everyday.

To achieve the weeklys you must finish 11 out of the 12 challenges (or 12 out of the 13 with the new annoying progression one) to receive all of the rewards.

10 coins may not seem like much, but it adds up overtime. After 6 weeks of playing, you’re already missing out on an entire weeks worth.

That makes sense if you are going for coins. Personally I often do not go for a full completion of weeklies and instead focus on battle pass progression.

There’s a whole bunch of f2p (me included) who are incentivized to do it as there are no other ways to get skins anymore without shilling out to Blizzard.

I never really thought about that actually. Probably an affect of me being on the opposite side of the spectrum.

It’s because they don’t want you to think about it. Having players be ignorant of their manipulative business practices is Blizzards new moto.

Just look around the game and you will start to notice all these annoyingly difficult decisions you have to make simply because it would be easier to do so by paying.

Now that I think about it, the inconvenient coin grind does incentivize you to buy boosters if you are late.

Also we really should reward more coins for weeklies.

This is the entire F2P industry… and exactly why we shouldn’t ask for it or celebrate it.

Instead of a game that you pay for and play and it’s fun. You get given the game… and then pay incrementally and individually for the fun things, making it cost 10 times more to get what we used to.

I think you have it backwards.
When I play, I end up doing some dailies. But when I open the challenges, I’m only looking at what I need to push for the next weekly to crack.
So many days where I only do maybe 3 dailies. And I end the BP above 200

I think they both work actually. I find I can do dailies while also doing some weeklies at the same time.

Use microsoft rewards for free coins if you aren’t already doing it. Can earn enough reward points to redeem for 1000+ coins per season. That’s almost twice as much as the game offers. I haven’t had to spend real money on a BP or shop skin since season 1 (not including the PvE/BP this season which I couldn’t buy with banked coins).

This challenge is currently broken. I keep queing as different roles, None of them are counted.
