So this challenge goes out to all the people who complain about balance, though more specifically the ones that declare individual heroes OP.
Find the hero you claim to be overpowered. Play 5 hours on them. (on current patch, having played 5 hours a while back doesn’t count)
Does your opinion change? Do you still find them overpowered or unbalanced?
I’m not saying you can’t think someone is unbalanced or overpowered, I’m saying you should try to get some perspective.

Especially when we take into account high skill floor characters like Genji, Ana or Widowmaker.
At best you’ll recognize how hard they are to play.
I don’t think anyone is really overpowered right now. With a slight exception for Ana. But despite what some people will tell you here, i don’t think she’s that far off. She definitely doesn’t need some of these kneecap busting nerfs some of the people are suggesting here.
Right. As someone who frequents her, she could proabably use Nano tuned down to either 200 or 150 healing, but that’s about it.
Yeah, probably the same here.
Maybe reduce her healing per dart from 75 to 70 to keep it in line with her damage output too. Nothing too crazy.

In all honesty I find mccree broken as ****, he was so balanced before but now hes just broken, just revert him back to the way he was when his fth did 50 dps, no ult or fire rate buffs.
I don’t like Pharah.
Do I think she’s overpowered? Hell no.
Do I think she needs a nerf? Yes and No.
Do I think she needs a buff? Most definetly.
Then why don’t I like her? Cause of her butt buddy called Mercy. Those two are a terrible pair and I mean that in the nicest way possible.

Right. So then play him a bit and see if you change your mind. If you don’t; that’s fine. Just get some perspective.
I think that probably 90% of the time people complaining about something being OP have never really played that hero. So, they are clueless about counters to the hero/ability. They went up against someone who was good, they lost, they got mad, nerf requests are their revenge.
I agree. Which is why I want them to have perspective. Unfortunately many people are content to stay biased and won’t even try to remain neutral.
Very true. I’ll add that probably the second biggest reason people complain is that they see a hero played in OWL therefore it must be meta therefore it must be OP because the best players in the world chose to play it. Ignoring ladder play entirely. I bet some posts come from people who don’t even play the game any more but just watch it on Twitch.
Theyre almost all DPS. Every game I join has 3 dps in it. Im not going to be the jerk who is the 4th.
I don’t think any hero is OP right now. Not even Widow, she just lacks something that can threaten her.
I have played Tracer in the past. Outside of GOATs, she is insanely easy to kill people with, you just burst them down before they can react lol.
His fan the hammer has never done 50 dps. It has done 70 damage per bullet and was reduced by half to 45, increased to 55 and just recently reduced to 50 damage per bullet.
I did that with Hanzo and Widowmaker and I still feel the same. I’m at 80 hours with Widowmaker total, and I think she is a busted hero. Same with Hanzo. Adding “counters” to contend with these heroes is powercreep.
Great! Then you have some perspective. ^-^ That is the point of this thread, that people have reasonable complaints about a hero with a couple perspectives that aren’t just salt infused nonsense.
(It was also a sardonic response to the #deletehero threads going around.)
i agree. adding busted heroes to deal with busted heroes is what got us release brig.
to that tune, i am slowly learning mcree. i still think he is over tuned, but its not like he is easy to play. still think he needs his old falloff back to make up for his fire rate buff.
Yeah…I can see that honestly. While I don’t think he’s OP, I do think he’s overtuned at the moment.
