7v7 would be great!

Instead of taking away with 5v5, more is better and 7v7 would have been so much better!

7 is an odd number, though, and it looks weird. Let’s do 8v8 instead!

9v9 could run 3-3-3!

with an odd number, there’s option for the odd one out to select something to compensate where the other two are lacking, if in role queue.
keep upping the number and we can have Battlefield Overwatch!

7 minute minimum lobby time wont be that great

People need to stop thinking that 5v5 exists because of queue times. That was just a secondary byproduct of ActiBlizzard corporate wanting a game with less defenses and less impediments for popular DPS heroes to ‘‘pop off’’ and ‘‘make plays’’ because those things ‘‘improve viewership’’.

Dude that was director said , 5v5 decreased waiting times significantly

Imagine 12v12, 4-4-4. The games would be INSANE!

You joke, but it would be fun to try it.

Why don’t we have 32v32 yet? If BF4 can do it, so can OW

considering how unoptimized and visually cluttered 6v6 is, that’s a soft never.

more than 5v5 is barely feasible and hard to scale. fast gamers already notice the .io slow downs with 6v6, and there are known bugs, fps/lag, etc. the netcode for instance has to arbitrate between 12 players registration and cd ‘prioritization’. That is less ms per tick per io and all that. 7v7 would be like molasses waiting your turn for your packets to count and update the game state.

to make it work they would have to scrap all the crossplay and basically host on LAN.
or just call it turn-based cardgame (which it already feels like in crossplay 6v6 desync)

No, 7v7 is a terrible idea. It’s just too many people on the field. It would have so much crazy visual clutter and it would likely be a performance nightmare.

6v6 is where it’s at or 5v5, honestly either way. I’m ambivalent. But not 7v7.

I’ve always wanted a 9v9 or 12v12 mode

Well, you need 7b so that you can run 4 support 3 tanks.

I’ll bite.

  1. Devs have said hardware limitations both on their end (game engine) and low performing pcs/switch would make 7v7 difficult.
  2. The visual clutter in 6v6 was way out of hand. Ult fights in 5v5 still get too much visual noise on occassion. 7v7 would be exponentially worse.
  3. Too many players to keep track of. Imagine having to heal 6 other players, or peel from 7 different angles.

Ya’ll haven’t lived til you tried 15v15.

(flashback to 2Fort CTF no limits + instant respawn from Team Fortress 2)

Lucky number 7’s! :partying_face::slot_machine::moneybag:

OW2 needs to copy Halo and just do Big Team Battles.

Let’s just make a moshpit mode like COD has, 12v12. That would be a blast

Keep calm and don’t worry, for the RTX 5090 will soon be here to solve all these problems and more!
