Every time I see Roadhog I just think of Peter Griffin going, “Roadhouse!” …that really ought to be a voice line for Roadhog if it isn’t already.
But yeah, he would add some wildcard energy into the mix.

I honestly think this would work with a third dps. Maybe providing more shield to the health so it doesn’t take forever to heal? Idk im not against it but this sounds like it would be interesting !

Worse? But I can play 5v5 when I want to play tank. 6v6 when I want to play support. And 7v7 when I feel like playing DPS. And also Stadium when I feel like competitive, but do not want to sacrifice my 5v5, 6v6, or 7v7 ranks. Think about it, quickplay will be pretty chaotic in 7v7 which might make it better than 6v6 quickplay. 5v5 quickplay might still be the best, but they should support all of them alongside Stadium quickplay.
Also can they please fix queue times?

This was already something that they discussed like a year ago and even before that when Blizzard talked about originally choosing 6v6. The current Blizzard team for Overwatch will do everything but make 6v6 the normal game mode so while I think a 7v7 would be interesting, it will likely be an arcade option.
Proof is that Stadium is 5v5 and all the marketing in Season 16 (and even the little bit of 17) is 5v5 focused still.
Also, unless they magically got the engine to handle the Switch better, I doubt it’ll happen anytime soon. While I’m sure the OW playerbase on Switch is small, it’d be dumb to alienate that amount for Switch 2 adoptees this early on.

Anything’s possible but given the way that Stadium’s been running more poorly on older rigs, 6v6 took some work to get back, BOB took some finangling due to the engine vis a vis team sizes, and they’ve said in the past that there would be considerable cost in going 7v7? I don’t believe it based on a web article.

I would actually like a mode where one character was just the VIP and everyone had to build a team around them. It’d be fun if the VIP was Zen so everyone had to protect him. If it was Hog, it’d be about enabling him to bowl through the other guys.

Maybe it won’t be a 7v7. It’ll be a 4v4v4 with 2 kaiju tanks as their own 4th team.

7v7 has been kind of a meme for a while now. Even Flats seemed to suggest it as a joke.
But I think it could lowkey be really fun, even only as an experiment or in custom games.
Sounds really good since 2 tanks and 2 supports is a must-have and it’s only the DPS who sometimes oddly want 3 DPS comps for no valid reason. Good way to meet them halfway
