pretty sure its not my fault that your matchmaker can’t figure out i left 1 match because i didn’t want to play in it but somehow end up being punished as if i left like 20 other games instead of the same game
also if u want to avoid this: just put team member on ignore and re-queue bc that’s too complicated for blizzard to figure out
You got punished for leaving games, Blizzard warns you when leaving another game will result in a punishment. This is all on you.

It is 100% your fault that you left the game. You clicked both the button to leave and the button to confirm you want to leave, and you did it multiple times. Time to man up and deal with the consequences.
But he shouldn’t have been put in them in the second place. The option to keep leaving should never have existed at all.

totally matchmaker’s fault for trying to put me back into the exact same game multiple times.
If you already started the match. You have to block someone to prevent the game forcing you back. If you left at the start. Than the -75XP wouldn’t happen.
This is all on you.
It takes a lot of leaving to even get the warning, which shows up at the top of your screen in a nice red rectangle. I should know, my microwave computer that I’m forced to play on while my good one being repaired has me leaving quite a few QP matches but as long as I’m able to finish one or two it goes away.
You’re gonna get called out for either a: exaggerating how little you left as you probably left other games prior to this one, or b: get called out that it was all on you

I’m not, simply stating the facts. You don’t get an exp reduction for leaving ‘a game’ once or twice, only after multiple times. Blizzard also warns that if you leave any more you’ll get a punishment, you chose to ignore it and keep leaving. You could have played a different gamemode or anything else for a few minutes.
False. it is Blizzard’s fault for not adding a simple system to prevent rejoining lobbies that the user has deliberately left.
Gotta put someone from the game you left, on your avoid as teammate list. Otherwise you run the risk of getting put back into the same game.
Feel free to keep them there, or remove them at your leisure. I would use 20 slots if I could. There are a lot of people unwilling to work with a team.
Here’s an idea…don’t come to forums whining about your EXP reduction to people who are smart enough to know that it won’t happen unless you leave multiple games in succession.
Here’s another idea: Wait before you try searching for another game the next time you want to leave a match and stay out of it.
It’s not rocket science. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the game will put you right back where you were if you immediately search for the same game mode right after you leave. It’s been that way for most, if not all of the game’s life.
You leave too many games, you get punished. You willingly searched for a new game immediately after leaving one, repeatedly, so yeah, it’s on you bud.
Shouldn’t that not happen at all though?
If a person says, ‘i accept inching towards punishment. get me out of this match’, and they get pushed forwards towards punishment, and the system just puts them back into the same game, isn’t that pretty stupid?
You shouldn’t leave games at all. Why would Blizzard want to make something like that easier?
Next time this happens, when you are put in the same game for the second time in a row, just sigh and endure the rest of the match with voice and text chat muted.
I agree with you that Blizzard matchmaker should not place you in the same match you just quit. But it still baffles me that you quit 15 times in a row the same match. With my connection times, the match would be over by the 6th time.
Penalty for brain dead, nothing odd here.
You left the same game SIX times? That’s impressive. You definitely earned that XP penalty.
