I really hope nobody’s stupid enough to buy them outside of the BP but I know for a fact some whales will spend that much.

You can still get your 1 Mythic per season from the premium BP if you’re not a greedy whale also.
I think the price is reasonable for what you are getting and the time commitment you are bypassing to unlock it. It isnt $80 for just a basic skin.
If they were cheap and easy to buy there would be no reason to even doing the battle pass. If you could Just pay and get it immediately for $20-30 I would question why even bother playing through the battle pass at that point. The cost has to cover both the value of the skin but also the time investment others have taken to get it.
$80 for skins others had to pay $10 and play 40-60hrs to earn sounds rather cheap in fact tbh. Like… you are literally bypassing an entire 40-60hrs of playing. Instead of playing the game you could literally just work a job in those 40-60 hrs and easily just buy the skin with all the extra money you just earned

I mean…if this system were implemented right from the start, I could go without a certain skins like Genji or Hanzo. You don´t really have to get every skin, unless you collect them.
I’mma be real, many many seasons ago I expected that any Mythic sales would be $40 for a base option and $20 per additional option “set”.
I’m not surprised I wasn’t far off.
I do wish you could get 100 Prisms with 80 being base Premium BP like live and the additional 20 being 5 per 25 levels over 100, not including 100. So +5 at 125, 150, 175, 200. It’d take a year of BP purchases and full level 200 grind to get an additional non-seasonal Mythic fully kitted, or bypass buying 1 BP to get a Mythic.
Especially if they’re going to start adding more than one per season or releasing additional options for past Mythics, I’m not saying they’re planning to or will, but that the 80 Prisms will quickly feel outdated if the seasonal demand ever exceeds it.
