7 wins = downgrade

Hi,

I’m writing to report sad and angry bugs regarding the ranking system. Let me explain the issue.
This situation happened to me 2 time.
I have 6 victories. Nothing is reset, which means i did not lost 20 games. To be sure, I count them on a Word Document. So, I win the 7th game and… magic ! I am downgraded. Why ? How ?
I truly does not understand why this happened to me. This is really unbearable, because OW2 is a competitive game. Following this idea, why should I play competitive, and win games 7 to be rewarded with a downgrade ?

Please, could you light me up ?

Firstly, I’d like to say that I agree this is indeed a confusing way for Blizzard to approach ranking, particularly for new players; but it is worth noting that the “new” ranking system still updates your SR Rank after EVERY match . It just displays your rank after every 7 wins or 20 losses. Whether you obtain 7 wins before you hit 20 losses has absolutely no impact on your rank adjustment.

What directly impacts your rank adjustment is the the SR system, which tracks your Win/Loss Ratio and accounts for the difficulty of the matchup based on each players MMR.

The [hidden] MMR stat tracker interprets whether it believes you should be going up in SR or going down in SR based on hundreds of player statistics based factors like K/D Ratio, Avg#Deaths/10-minutes, etc., in addition to win percentage, and tries to balance matches accordingly.

Thx bro,

I’m not a new player, but I have to confess that it is extremely confusing. Also, I feel that my place is not here, as I used to be high plat/diamond. It is just so hard to understand how they mix it up, and to understand how it works. Because its unclear as… (F-word). I guess that the old system was much more clearer. I guess.

Nevertheless, thanks for the answer mate !!
