6v6 was set up with the intent to fail

Tank nerfs and dps buffs all around. Not sure whose idea that was but it definitely seems like with the way things are “balanced” for 6v6 it’s just done with the intent to make it miserable and to fail.

Playing on console and current Que Times look like this:

<1 Min Tank | 18 min Dps | <10 min Support

Why? Because tanking was made so incredibly miserable that nobody wants to do it.

When 6v6 inevitably fails to gain support, I hope people understand that it was by design that it was intended to fail.

its almost like you didnt play OW1 6v6 to begin with. this is exactly what it was like at the time. nobody wanted to play tank because the experience wasnt good. you cut out half the tank players, you get faster queues. its not hard to figure out

plus 5v5 today is better than 6v6 ever was. 6v6 may have a higher potential overall but its more difficult to balance and people simply dont play tank. deal with it or go play something else.

tank is still the most powerful role by far, followed by support.

really everyone thinking dps is the strongest?
dps still feels like the most useless cosmetic role in the game.

im enjoying the tank experience rn, sigma and zarya are pretty powerful in 6v6 and i can be a brainlet and still win games

All the tanks were playing open queue. Actually, it felt like most players were playing open queue since there were like no queue times.

Playing on pc, my queue times are tank 1 min, dps 2 min, support 1 min. In 6v6

Also remember this is in qp less strict queues ranked queue times are (were) twice as long.

the switch from 6v6 to 5v5 is basically all the devs have left to justify ow2 existing

if people end up preferring 6v6, it just means EVERYTHING theyve done regarding this game has been for nothing

Did you expect raidboss Tanks to stay in the game? This is how OW1 was. If you’re not the only one in the role, you don’t get to be a raidboss.

This wasn’t set up to fail; 5v5 is simply the better mode. Recognize your nostalgia for what it is.

No. Game developers aren’t going to waste time, money and resources on a game mode for the sole purpose of refuting some guys on an internet forum.

This is 222 RQ, warts and all. I think it’s well past time to accept it, instead of pretending that it was ever anything different. It was never any sort of tanking paradise.

This is what queues looked like for the last couple of years of overwatch 1 and the reason we got 5v5 in the first place. I expected this.

Again, like some of us have always said, 6v6 solves nothing really besides giving some players their yearly dose of nostalgia, and just makes the game slower and more forgiving.

Things are not changing and Tank Power Balance and Design are simply not sustainable the more you project the game into the future. If they stop adding heroes, then maybe, just maybe they would be able to balance the game in a couple of years (properly) … but adding new heroes? Nah.

Blizzard hasn’t managed to balance the live game in the eight years that they’ve been running it, so I don’t know why it’s a conspiracy that an alternate game mode they pulled out of their rears for testing purposes isn’t balanced well.

6v6 was never perfect and tanking has always kind of sucked. I would argue that it sucked far less in 6v6 but if reducing queue times is the main objective then… I don’t know.

On PC I don’t see any of the roles go above a 3 minute queue time.

you say this as if they didnt waste time, money, and resources for over 3 years on a game that basically didn’t exist, lied about it, and tried to sell it anyway

i would NOT put it past them lmfao, especially considering how gullible a lot of the community is
