6v6 people now have to deal with Aatlis too

Welcome to the club. Now you can join me in my loathing of this map.

This is not just the worst Flashpoint map. It’s not just the worst map that exists currently. This is the worst map that has ever been added to the game.

I am very strongly against leaving, but every time I get this map I want to leave so bad. So far, I have resisted the urge.

Why do you not like it?

It’s way too many tight corridors. It tends to split your team, especially that first point. And the high ground feels bad. I normally like high ground and I can’t put my finger on exactly why I don’t like this high ground, but I don’t.

I don’t see anyone other than Junkrat or Sym mains liking this.

I haven’t seen it pop up yet, but I’m only a few games in. I have encountered an issue where people who backfill into Paraiso suffer massive frame death. As a result it was 5v6 as soon as the first guy left. We had at least two other leavers after that because of the issue.

We ended up in Paraiso despite it only getting two votes. Just sayin’.

I hope Samoa’s back in. It wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes but it’s also been conspiciously absent from 6v6, and I quite like that map.

Still 100x better than clash.

no one votes for it really so its unlikely you’ll get it. unless its aatlis with 2 flashpoint or push maps then people may vote aatlis over those

i love playing tracer on that map tho

I agree. It splits your team way too much. I always see them behind some walls and corners on low hp and I cannot heal them. Walking up to them usually ends up with me being flanked from the enemy or they die by the time I walk up to them.

Not to mention the typical Flashpoint community problem of people still not knowing how to play them and loving to stagger and go off on their own.

I love clash modes, and I liked this one too, as a Soldier player. At first, I didn’t fully get it, but when I realized my sprint perk basically turned me into Sonic out there, dashing around the map and baiting the enemy team before jetting off like a fighter jet into the void, that’s when I knew it was just perfecto.

Other than the first point, there really isn’t that much in the way of high ground on successive points. A lot of the points are on closed encampments, though, which seems pretty typical of just about every Flashpoint. Not really ideal for long-range sniping or Hanzo.

Need more time, on it.

Symmetra does… kinda?.. feel favored, though.

Is it on 6v6 OQ? I have yet to play this mysterious map…

Oh, was this in the update? I hope I get a chance to play it soon!

I come back from my trip in a few days, and I’ve been spoiling for OW the past few lol

I like it, what’s the huge problem?

It’s not doing anything any other map doesn’t do

That sounds like a map knowledge issue. The team will only get split if they split themselves.

I’ve definitely felt that happen, but it was because my team did not know where to put themselves. In matches where the team was relatively competent the map plays like any other map.

From other posts I kind of got the impression people overall liked the new map…

I kept having that happen to me on Temple of Anubis back when the OW Classic event was running. I got as low as 9 fps at one point. It was unplayable.

I truly dislike Clash with every fiber of my being. But I would still take it over Aatlis. Like, as much as I hate Clash I hate Aatlis more.

It’s really pretty, but just doesn’t play very well.

That’s the way I like it, baby! Get it right, keep it tight!

I do not need them anyways. What did they ever do for me?

Good, I hate maps with mandatory high ground. I go where I want to go. Not where the man tells me to go.

Okay, now you are scaring me. :scream:

Whoa there buddy!!! That’s a big claim. There’s Numbani, there’s the other flash maps, there’s all of clash, there’s maps with such stupid designs of all high-ground for defenders like Paraiso, there’s maps where the game ends in the same place more than 50% of the time like Gibraltar, there’s maps that widow sucks every ounce of fun out of like havana and circuit, and more.

I don’t think you can back up that claim. However, it is a terrible map.

It’s a big claim. I agree. But I stand by it. It replaces my previous least favorite map of Horizon Lunar Colony. IMO the only other contender for being this bad is the entire mode of Clash, but that’s more of a mode problem than a map problem. This is both because Flashpoint was already disliked by a lot of people and this map exacerbates Flashpoint’s weaknesses to the point that even I don’t like it and I do like Flashpoint in general.

I haven’t seen the team who captured point 1 first lose the point yet. You either get there first or you lose that point. At least that has been the experience in my games so far.

YES!!! Love that map!

And of course looks like a parkour playground xD

That happens to all maps until people starts knowing pathways

Like every new map literally looks like a giant city xD
I still remember Shambaly Monastery on release. And today is totally normal

One thing I can say from Aatlis that needs to be looked at, is this garden tower from this point

h ttps://imgur.com/a/wki5Wcl

you can just stand up there; and feels like a very strong point for snipers

I’m not saying maps shouldn’t have sniper spots, but I guess we’ll have to see and wait for the additional data from 6v6, to see how strong that highground really is
