6v6 Pacing is So Good

just saw a video by somebody and the pacing is so good, i dont have anxiety watching because nothing is really happening due to ability being countered by ability.

It’s alright, not everyone’s cup of tea if you liked certain freedoms of 5v5 (less defaulting to healbot, more DPS-ruled flanks) but it is the ol’ 6v6. They even were nice enough to not revert Hog & Reinhardt stuff (Hog alt-fire merge, Rein Charge improved control) this time around.

Except Zarya. Not gonna lie, 450 total HP and no freedom to double self barrier or double projected barrier on a shared resource is JARRING, considering none of her health is armour. If there was any worry about her being oppressive, maybe reducing her primary fire damage output would’ve been the way to go…

I could see them experimenting with this. Though I personally like the extra attention you have to pay to cooldowns. It makes her gameplay loop much more interesting to me.

To each their own I suppose. I already played both versions of Zarya (as in, back in OW1 + OW2) and I am frankly more in favour of the shared CD system from OW2 as I prefer the freedom to allocate bubbles as needed.

Ally bubbling is something I enjoy a lot. I almost exclusively use the Spotter major perk as well - mostly because I don’t see the value of Energy Lance as much in 5v5, 6v6 might be a different story though.
