Since mid-season, so 1 week before Goats I think.
But the QP wasnt available and just got reactivated, so thats probably what you saw.

Huh, Ok. I did check and the announcement that “6v6 OQ is tenporarily disabled” is gone. Must have been recent then. Cool 
They put it back yesterday evening

not playing it, either they scrap 6v6 entirely, or Atleast i can show them that this is not it.
played 1 match, can’t wait for it do be gone.

Do you mean specifically the QP version? Because the Comp version has been up the whole time. I hope you haven’t been missing out, OP. 
I did start queuing up for the QP version today but the queue was taking longer than a minute so I cancelled and went to Comp instead. Hopefully that was just a blip I experienced, but I do kinda wonder whether between being outright missing for a couple of weeks, having a Comp version which hasn’t been missing, a joke mode coming out, plus the GOATS mode (but I repeat myself, har har har) that 6v6 OQ QP’s been screwed over.
However, it feels just as bad as 5v5.
I guess it’s not about the format, it’s about the gameplay and characters.
I tried to do Comp multiple times but I could never find a game. So I just gave up and played Classic GOATS (which i loved!).
OW2 6v6 OQ is pretty great! I kinda have to agree with ThiccBuddha: The 2-Tank limit is kinda a bummer. After playing Classic GOATS so much, I cant even imagine playing with only 2 Tanks all the time now

Whaa? You never found a game? That’s crazy to me. Maybe it’s a regional thing but here in the EU, it’s a minute maximum before I get a game in 6v6 OQ Comp.
I’m actually a fan of the two tank limit because 5v5 Comp was a tankfest all day, every day. I find that more than two tanks bogs down the gameflow too much. Each to their own, though!

it feels bad because they limited the number of tanks and thus made switching with other players harder.
The alternative is they don’t limit tanks, and open queue remains whoever stacks the most tanks and picks the least dps has the advantage. Which has been the case in open queue since like 2020.
Many open queue players may like that, as that’s what they have chosen to play all this time, but for people who just wanted 6v6 back, a lot of them wanted 2/2/2. Not 3/3.

I feel like a 2 tank limit works for comp oq, because it gives more structure.
But as a chaos gremlin, i feel that qp 6v6 might not need such.

i love it, I also love the limit on tanks, no goat bs.If my tanks are azz, I couldn’t care less. shrug it off, next game. or they let me swap and I can carry. This is the way they learn they’re doing something wrong. Devs nailed it. was about time.
a mode that is labeled OQ but then has some kind of limit…isnt actually OQ
Therein lies the problem.
Why play a comp with DPS when stacking Supports and Tanks is better?
I love the 2 tank limit, personally. It feels like the best of all worlds to me!
Even with role limits, this form of OQ is OQ by definition, because you are not queueing for a particular role.
