6V6 is healthier for the game

1 Main Tank
1 Off Tank
2 DPS
2 Healers

I’ve always believed queue times sucked in ow1 because of the overinflated number of dps we had vs the number of tanks / healers. With new and interesting tanks and healers, is it possible the queue times would be more bearable this time around?

Me personally, I hardly touched healing in OW1 but I’ve enjoyed every healer they’ve released in OW2 thus far. So I play more heals now. Confirms my own bias. Thoughts?

Maybe just 6v6 open queue and balance the game around that instead of 5v5?

Please?

My friends don’t like this game anymore and I’m at wit’s end. Mauga’s kit design has me fearful for the future -_- DO SOMETHINGGG

I think I’m at the end of the road too. Solo queue in OW2 just ain’t it. And no one I know is coming back, and I couldnt in good conscience give them a recommendation to do so.

most likely. the reason why queue times were so bad in OW1 were because of 2 things

  1. no content was coming in (like no new heroes or maps)
  2. the amount of CC in the game was unbearable

now that both of those issues are fixed, going back to 6v6 wouldn’t change much

I doubt the queues would be worse than in Overwatch Uno; however, finding 4 masochists per lobby is inherently more difficult than 2. That’s just the way the cookie crumbles.

Are you implying tanking wasn’t fun in ow1 good sir? That was favorite role

K, well I figured out how to fix AntiNade. And fixing that makes it easy to fix Mauga and Hog, and Kiriko.

5v5 actually made me end up maining support over DPS after 7yrs so I disagree. The role is much more fun than the previous iteration and am honestly glad that 6v6 will never come back.

Another reason I hate 5v5. Anti wasn’t seen as in issue in 6v6. Just like how discord (to my memory) wasn’t seen as an issue. I can list many examples. It’s not a good feeling watching Blizzard rework old heroes to accommodate 5v5. Seems like a lot of heroes are under fire when I read the forums (Mercy, Widow, etc). I’m gonna state it again for Blizzard staff, it’s not a good feeling.

However, I do like the Orisa change, as well as the changes to Hog and Sombra.

I dunno man, there was a lot of complaining about anti nade in 6v6 if I recall correctly

I’d be fine with a 5v5 arcade mode. There are things to enjoy about 5v5, but I firmly believe if everyone in the OW community had to cast a vote, 6v6 would be brought back. I firmly believe it based on nothing but ego and selfish desire.

I could be wrong. I never heard complaints about Ana’s anti, but I put in 1k hours by the time OW2 released so my experience is limited compared to some folks on the forums.

How bout 2-3-2?

oh don’t get me wrong, I think 6v6 is the best answer to what’s going on with OW, along with a few SMALL tweaks to hero balance (like removing a little health and survivability from tanks, maybe a little damage overall too, and reducing support healing).

I just know that Ana’s grenade has been pretty universally pooped on by a lot of people for a long time.

There were complaints, but it was counterbalanced by having a second tank who could help peel if the other tank was Anti’d or just help block it outright. It was definitely an issue, but there were more avenues to dealing with it, so it wasn’t treated with quite the same contempt as it is now.
