Sombra doesn’t even have perma invis.
Mercy is being over shadowed by Dumb Fist.
Bad BAD Implementation.

Old OW is bad by today’s standards imo
Sombra didnt have infinite invis at the time this patch takes place
What the heck, she just lost perma stealth not long ago.
She never started with perma invis
She was added to the game in November 2016, and had limited (6s) invis until mid 2018.
Up until around 2018 she had temporary invis. Moth was 2017 if I’m not mistaken.
My game captures say otherwise.
You’re either straight up lying or looking at the wrong dates then, because this is in fact the case. The patch notes are publicly available my dude:
Overwatch Patch Notes – July 24, 2018
Sombra
- Stealth
- Now lasts indefinitely
- No longer can contest objectives while invisible
- Movement speed buff decreased from +70% to +50%
- Translocator
- Now lasts indefinitely
- Can now be destroyed (has 5 health)
- Radius reduced
Developer Comments: These changes allow Sombra to more easily play as an infiltrator and scout for her team, as well as give her time to pick and choose when to reveal herself to ambush her enemies.
to be more clear on what NighthAwk is saying, the OW classic you are playing in the game today is the September 2017 patch. your memory about sombra is the July 2018 patch (almost a year later)
in 2017 Sombra still behaved as in in her original release: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcrPuSRYA4U
Doom isn’t even correct in this mode:
they couldn’t even copy paste properly
exactly nobody cares about mercy lmao we all want to play dps doom, why would u want to get on classic to hold m1
why you disrespecting bastion and mei mains like that.
bro sombra never had infinite invis until like her third rework
and good nobody wants to play mercy when dps doom is there is obv
Maybe cause dps doom is fun?? and holding leftclick isnt??
Some of these are mistakes and some are glitches due to the new engine that gummed certain aspects up. They did make so many of the former kind, however. I hopped on Orisa and her barrier is on the 12 second cooldown, even though it was dropped down to 8 seconds four months prior to the Moth patch. The barrier also has a duration timer on it, similar to today’s Ramattra’s barrier, and I’m raking my brain trying to remember if it was even a thing back then. Memory is tricky and deceptive, however, mine tells me that no, there was no timer on it and going through the patch notes, I can’t see any indication to the contrary.
agreed, the doom revert is insanely buggy, poorly executed, and he’s incredibly broken as a result of it. Combine this with the season 9 hitbox changes still being in the game (easier to aim on every hero), his primary fire melts every single squishy hero instantly. It’s ridiculous. Doom is so overpowered that the patch feels like a pipe dream into the most ridiculous doom meta ever conceived rather than anything resembling 2017 overwatch. sad
I believe there was a timer on it, I remember pro players would shoot a shield up into the air during setup so that it would last longer before expiring and needing to be replaced.
lowskill Fist Naga pleeease.
That was being done for a somewhat different reason. I just looked through all the Orisa patch notes from her release up to her O2 rework and there’s no mention of any timers being removed from her barrier at any point, and she didn’t have any such functionality on her barrier during the double shield era. This is a really weird thing.
Her original state didnt have perma invis. That was something added later in OW1 then was taken away recently in OW2
