600MB PTR patch?

I can’t find any patch notes or any new feature on PTR. Is there any confirmed change yet?

probably just a bug fix or 2

is 600 enough for a new hero. I’m really craving one

Just keep an eye on https://blizztrack.com/overwatch/ptr

no not nearly enough, coding their voice ability animations alone would be a couple gigs

That can’t possibly be true. That would mean that every new hero would add 5 or more GBs to Overwatch. Overwatch did not suddenly become a 100 GB download game.

Well all heroes come out without cosmetics tho.

But i havent found any trace of a new hero on PTR. Maybe the hero is hidden in the data tho.

new hero only during archives events. i legit will maybe* pay the whole forum a beer if i’m wrong.

There are no updates for me. You might have just gotten the patch from the other day with workshop bug fixes.

I don’t drink. Bring me a diet coke please.

I dont know. I remember updating the PTR and play on it when that patch came out. But maybe it got re-updated for some reason.

By that logic Overwatch should have 64GB of data just from all the heroes in the game right now, not even talking about the maps, the core game engine, the physics engine, the (non-hero) sounds, etc.

The game is about 30GB in size.

600MB is more than enough for a new hero.

Well, you’re goin to jail, I have a few months before that’s legal and bud light tastes like sparkling water, disgusting.

This is my evidence.

Unless Blizzard somehow managed to cut down more than 30 GBs of data into 1 GB or something I don’t see how that’s possible.

They’re nerfing your favorite hero. /s

Maybe it’s a three-week skin event.

This is very likely just a stability patch fixing under the hood issues. I won’t be able to ping too many people on a Saturday to find out otherwise.

You might want to reinstall your game.

OW for some reason doesn’t replace older files when a patch comes out. Once I had a 42gb OW folder.

I removed it and reinstalled and now it’s 17GB.

As for the patch. Probably bug fixes and stuff. If we get new hero, that’ll be the most surprising thing. Especially when patches with new hero are like 1GB in size.
