6 stack vs all randoms

There is literally no reason this should ever happen in competitive. I don’t care if it takes the 6 stack 2 hours to match, that is not my problem. Right now there is 6 stack in NA dominating plat because apparently their are no other 6 stacks playing at the moment. They are going to climb and climb until they start getting matched with other premade teams. This is complete nonsense and might as well be considered abusing matchmaking. Why would the matchmaking system EVER think matching 6 completely random no mic people against a pre made 6 stack is anywhere near fair. At least match them against pre made duos and trios. That was by far the most punishing and ridiculous experience I have had in overwatch. It doesn’t matter how well we play together or how well we synergize, they are communicating and focusing a single target while we are a bunch of randoms trying to synergize the best we can with no mics. Absolutely ridiculous and shouldn’t even happen.

I think they should get rid of any limiters keeping stacks from playing with solos. A team of all diamonds would also have an unfair advantage vs a team of all plats. Same with a team of all voice vs a team with no one in voice. This is perfectly fine because being good and joining voice are skills/commitments that show you are better at the game. Those actively trying to make and join 6 stacks show they have more commitment to playing the game properly just like getting a mic and joining voice does, and that should factor into their Sr. All the current system does is allow group player Sr to be deflated in comparison to what their team can accomplish, and then punishes sq players in the very rare chance that they play against similarly ranked groups. If the games happened commonly, then the groups/sq players Sr would be accurate to what they can accomplish.

Why not?

Solo queues have all the same options available to them that a six stack, or 5 stack, or 4 stack, etc… has. Same comms, same hero pool and apparently the same SR because you got matched against them.

That sounds like a whole lot of your problem, not Blizzard’s.

That being said, the Matchmaker does try and match groups based on size, but that is not always possible.

There is no issue with matching 6 stacks against solo’s as long as there is a second rank/SR while player as a 6 Stack.

I had a discussion about it before:
