Actually if all you fan boys of 2-2-2 would leave open queue it would make it 100% better.
While I don’t agree with the words chosen lmao, you are technically correct. It gets annoying when there are people who complain about not getting a 2-2-2 comp. Like um? what the hell do you expect.
If you don’t like the mode, then why are you still playing it? For Comp Points?
100% why they play it.
I like role queue, I just don’t like not being able to be dps because there’s no restrictions placed on those who play nothing but dps. Unless you have no life and can sit there waiting god knows how long, you’ll never be dps.
Exactly this, like I miss the ability to flex to whomever in different roles, but then again typically people result back to 2-2-2.
Like this one game we had 2 healer, 2 DPS and 2 Tanks. The enemy team had the same however, they had a Doomfist and Hammond. Literally my team would not switch off Genji and Torb to help handle the Hammond mostly nor the Doomfist. So, I swapped off healer since we had a Mercy, and played Sombra ,however, played more so as a support more than a damage dealer; but whenever Hammond came into the team; a simply hack and that took care of things.
As soon as he swapped off Hammond, I swapped back to Moria.
I literally miss doing plays like that
Sad. Only stressing themselves out.
Any examples? Seems like every DPS is pretty good right now with heroes rotating every week. I think I’ve played just about every DPS hero since hero bans started?
I’d rather wait 10+ minutes for a 2-2-2 game than wait 3 minutes for a garbage 10-25 minute game of no one having a good time because the team has 3-5 DPS that don’t even have comms 90% of the time. In fact, I’ve almost exclusively played DPS this season with those 10+ minute queue times because I know I actually get to play DPS with 2 tanks & supports.
That’s exactly what it is lol
Agreed
The problem is that:
- It’s an arcade mode, and a lot of people don’t care if they win/lose. They just want to finally play what they want without queue times.
- Before RQ, and even in QP, there weren’t nearly as many 6 DPS comps as many claim. A good team will make a good team composition. At least back then you could switch around until something works.
- There was more variety (until GOATS took over).
Had this not been in arcade, it would’ve been taken more seriously.
Open Queue is definitely not everyone. I suggest giving it a try, and if it’s not something you enjoy, going back to other modes you do. I think having this limited time event is important for Blizzard to get a good statistical picture on the issue of RoleQ vs OpenQ. And I really hope that they share the relevant stats with us, like JKaplan did with the stats from the first day of OpenQ.
Amazing.
You don’t like it.
So don’t play it.
Click the role queue button.
It feels absolutely no different being in arcade. In fact, I think it’s a little better there because the reward of the lootboxes is decent incentive to try.
All the annoyances I’ve run into with Open Queue are the exact annoyances that happened before role queue.
wanted to ask if this sr system is relevant in any way. in 2-2-2 lock and seasons prior to that i was just chilling in lower elos like silver (barely playing comp tho) but finished my open queue placements in plat yesterday
What I find kind of funny is people say DPS players are the selfish evil villains, and we’re why role queue was implemented, but in reality…
^ This is what happened. A tank or support would swap to DPS to soft-throw or “Show us how it’s done.” All RQ does is prevent that from happening. XD
Sounds like you never used LFG youself. That thing sounded great but worked extremely poorly. Working your a** off for 10-20 min before you could even queue up, just to have someone leave before queue popped and start searching for more again. Then you still could never know if you got someone that couldnt play the role they signed up for or not. Along with leavers and such.
It took so much time and energy to get group together. The matches that you actaully got were alot better though, but spending more time managing the group then actually playing the game was not fun. And if your an introvert, depending on how much of an introvert, then LFG can be near impossible to use.
Me and several other I know stopped playing the game all together. And we started again after RQ was introduced.
Same here
Was planning on just doing placements but ended up accidently debunking the 6 dps never happens myth…
Sry
goes back to role que
We know it happens. But not nearly as often as you want to believe.
Why the hell do you have to attack something you clearly have no interest or part in? What is wrong with you?
People dont seem to get that many people who play tanks and supports dont gona move over to play them in the open q like they used to play in normal ranked.
Some of them also prefere role q after all, and they gona stick to what they like to play, so ofc its gona be less of them in the arcade mode than it was in past in the ranked.
Just using the forum to post my experience and opinions like everybody else including yourself
Nothing wrong here, no need to get personal jessicka
Oh yeah, no bias or skewed stats/experiment at all. Sounds right huh?:
“Hey guys, I am going to go into this mode that is the ONLY comp mode that allows flexing and no forced 222 compositions, to prove those players, are specifically creating comps that fall outside 222”
Wow amazing logic dude. Lets split the playerbase and give the OPTIONS to do X or Y, and then critizise, with zero base, that players that want Y, use the ONLY OPTION that allows them to do Y.
Congratulations on proving nothing at all and wasting your time playing a mode you dont like I guess.
PS: In order to do the proper experiment, there should be NO OTHER options available except Comp Open Queue
I’ve also won 2 games in a row once with 5 support and 1 tank.
That doesn’t make it consistently fun or viable in the broader picture
