5v5 VS 6v6 debate between Jake and Iron

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2puibd8dyA

I’ll admit my bias here I am a 5v5 supporter but idk how anyone can argue jake didn’t crush him here. Iron was mostly incoherent and rambling where jake was very much on point and consistent with his arguments.

I think you might be a little mistaken.

Jake contradicted himself many times and just kept repeating the exact same thing over and over for the last 4 hours in this debate.

Iron may over exaggerate and ramble occasionally but he brings up very good points.

The only good point that Jake brings up is q times which can be solved if we go to open q for 6v6.

Person with over 10000 posts supports the current thing what a shocker

Not sure where the correlation is between post count and supporting 5v5 but ok lol

There is no debate, Blizzard will never return to it.

I only watched clips from Noobhunter, but the ones he selected made Jake look less intelligent than Dafran.

The ones from noobhunter aren’t even that bad there are far worse ones…

One way to settle this “debate”, bring back OW1 and let the players decide.

OW1 shouldnt have been removed in the first place. People who hate payday 3 can still play payday 2.

Sure we can call the game OW1 and with a balance patch that set the game to 5v5 and added the current heroes. Realistically its a smaller change than RQ or hero limits were so its not exactly out of place.

The 5v5 vs 6v6 argument is just bickering between nostalgia-riddled brick walls who don’t want the game to change and good-intentioned idealists who can’t get past the earplugs the other party wears.

That must’ve been quite an effort. Jake usually comes off as quite eloquent and knowledgeable when it comes to all things Overwatch, as befits a former professional player, coach, caster and analyst.

There isn’t one. They are just using misdirection and ad-hominem arguments because they don’t have an actual point.

Straw Men are very easy to knock down, yeah.

They just made that connection because they wanted to insult you but I’ll give a very good reason.

I want to also prefaces by apologizing for that other person because they were very rude to you and that shouldn’t have ever happened.

6v6 is fundamentally better because it’s more fun as a casual game. And it’s better as a competitive game.

The proof I had for this is every single person who has quit the game always remarks that they quit because of either role q or because of immortality abilities.

Also because the game is more complex it allows people to play more heroes in quick play when they’re not trying because the player base doesn’t understand the game which opens up more room for more heroes to be played.

Because of my entire time playing in OverWatch one I never got asked to switch in quick play and now I’m constantly getting harassed by people because understanding 5v5 is so easy that even gold players can understand it.

Additionally Role q needs to go away if we want to attract a bigger casual player base. And if your counter argument is that we’re a competitive game 6v6 fundamentally makes a game more competitive at its core.

So there’s an argument about 6v6 or 5v5. But role queue is the best thing to ever happen to Overwatch and I’ll die on that hill.

For Comp it’s fine but for qp fun there’s no need for it.

I don’t agree honestly. And there’s already open queue as a thing. Balance will always be around comp so there’s absolutely no point in removing role queue only in QuickPlay.

This. I’m not sure where this resurgence of wanting Open Queue back is coming from. Did some streamer open their mouth again?
