Who the hell thought that this is freaking fair? Why the hell do I need to queue and be put with a 5 stack, all in their own voice chat and deal with a freaking 6 stack. I don’t care that large groups have higher queuing times, this is no excuse to ruin a match for a solo player, that has nothing to do with such high stack.
you want them to remove 5 stacks?
so if I unfortunately enough to not have 5 other friends always online all the time and we happen to be 1 person short, we should never able to get the queue for a game?

btw jk2l if you have 5 friends online and they all join you are a 6 stack because 5 friends + you = 6

also for the record, I never use Overwatch voice chat because after so many years they still can’t fix a simple issue. and my keyboard seems to be too loud that always get picked by in-game voice chat.
Also, I hate to use push to talk, I personally can’t focus to use push to talk at the same time as playing. So either give me a no push to talk and allow me to adjust mic sensitivity or I will never, ever, ever ever use the Overwatch in-game chat.
For playing with my friends I can always use discord which allows me to adjust mic sensitivity (and also any other online game allow me to do it). same with some other friend I got, we almost never use in-game voice due to how broken it is.
Wtf? are you guys high? I never said that it would make 5 stacking impossible, 5 stack + solo vs 5 stack + solo is fair, that’s how it should be, but it shouldn’t be 5 stack + solo vs a 6 stack.
There is a solution here, and it’s called common sense.

so if there is no other 5 stack + solo, then we never get a match? it is already taking ages to find a match against 6 stacks. if even 6 stacks is removed off queue it will take forever
That is the risk you have to take when you queue as a 6 stack, or as a 5 stack. It even says at the top when you high stack, that the queue times will be longer. Do you suggest that an innocent player’s game should be ruined because a group can’t find a match, even though they know that queue times are long?
yea it is also a risk for you as solo to join a 5 stacks. maybe get a friend and stop whining
I believe the point that’s being made is that in a 5+1 v 6 situation, the lone solo Q player is at a disadvantage. This is because 4+ stacks are far less likely to join VC.
- In a 5+1 v 5+1 it’s fine, because both sides have 1 unfortunate player
- In a 4+1+1 v 6 it’s bad, but not terrible, because at least there’s a reasonable possibility of the 2 solos working together
- In a 3+2+1 v 6 it’s okay because the stacks are small enough to increase the chances of them joining VC
But in a 5+1v 6 it’s highly probable that the solo player will be the only one in the game unable to communicate, and that’s an unfair disadvantage

I’d say all the following are fair matchups for a 5+1:
- 5+1 v 5+1
- 5+1 v 4+2
- 5+1 v 4+1+1
- 5+1 v 3+3
- 5+1 v 3+2+1

in a way you also isolating the 6stacks too. which is bad. overwatch try to promote team play but if being in a 6 stacks make it difficult to match then it will just discourage people to do so
The other question is was it a genuine premade 6 stack or a group randos who went yea we did good let’s stick as a team
For 6 stacks I’d say:
6 v 3+2+1
6 v 3+3
6 v 4+2
6 v 4+1+1
6 v 6
It’s not a matter of trying to isolate them at all, it’s just trying to remove 6 v 5+1 because it is unfair to that 1 solo Q where even a 4+1+1 isn’t because the 2 solos can work together even if the 4 stack stays in their own chat

it’s not about where is the button, it’s the part I need to spend extra attention to press the button. it takes away my attention from games. I tried to use it, but I rather not use it then use it.

Solo queue is already a joke where the winner of 30% of your matches is decided before the match begins due to Trolls, Leavers, Smurfs etc. There’s absolutely no reason to add another parameter for that. 6 stack vs 6 stack is the most fair match anyone can ever achieve in OW, obviously there has to be a price to be able to play such fair match. Also, after LFG was introduced it was easier to find 6 stack matches. But after all, it’s still no reason to ruin one person’s game because people decided to group up despite queue times.
