I’ve had double digit rezzes plenty of times over the ages, but the most unusual was 9 rezzes in 4v4. Enemy team was MAAAAAAAAD and complained about rez being OP. Can’t argue with that in 4v4.
pro tip: If you rez a Reaper at the objective while he has ult, and then you dmg boost him as he scores a multikill with it, Mercy gets the PotG, not Reaper. I’ve done this quite a few times, though it doesn’t seem to work with any other hero.
I wish it was back in the games, all because people complained it wasn’t fun killing a team for them to all come back, but really that’s what ults are for, to kill/help a team.
So why not just hold an ult in the event a Mercy did a 4 man rez in this case.
I know people will disagree of course but I think ever since they changed her ult to Valkyrie her character has just never been the same for me and has just been overall worse ever since.
Ultimates in Overwatch are made to be big “clutch play” moments. DPS ults can wipe out entire teams, while support ults were (originally) made to save teams from wiping.
I really miss that. Old Mercy sometimes felt helpless in terms of being like a free lunch for flankers, but she NEVER felt helpless in her ability to make clutch plays that could flip entire matches on their head.
Area Rez made playing Mercy feel important, because she had this amazing Last Line of Defense ult that that ensured there was ALWAYS a chance to snatch victory out of the jaws of defeat.
