4 Golds Feels Bad

Why is it so common to have 4 golds and get a card OTHER than 4 golds? 10 player kill streak is far less impactful than having 4 golds, imho. When I get 4 golds I feel proud of what I accomplished but then disappointed when the cards at the end don’t reveal my contribution.

Cmon blizz! This part should be pretty easy.

I’ve heard you only get those cards when your golds are the highest in the lobby, not just on your team.

As a Zen main, I feel this pain though. When I get 3-4 golds, I feel damn proud of it. But no, I always get an assists card.

I had no idea this was a thing.

I hate getting a card for 4 golds because it means my team is less likely to upvote me–D.Va never gets upvoted anyway

I often get the four golds card…

As Bastion.

Excuse me, what?

Worst feeling: spending the match on fire and earning 4 gold medals.

End game card is Mech Deaths. :face_vomiting:

Nope I’ve gotten that card when my stats were lower than all 3 enemies shown, it seems random tbh

I’ve never been able to verify it myself, I’ve just heard it said here on the forums. It kinda seems like a silly system if it was in fact how it worked, but all those times when I get 3-4-5 golds and still get a objective time or assists card seem to lend some credence to the theory.

…Or maybe the card system is just a little screwy.

yeah I’ve seen players get it when they were on teams who got rolled so hard, that no one on their team really did anything

4 Golds is only impressive if in each category you also did better than the enemy team.

3k Gold Healing isn’t good if the enemy team had 9k.
2k Damage isn’t good if the enemy had 5k.
etc.

So you may have been the best on your team, but the enemy team outperformed you in each category.

“Wow. 5 golds, 20 + player kill streak and you got potg. Here’s your card for objective time.” :unamused:
