360 Total Security problem fixed?

Just wondering if it is… Would like to have my virusscanner enabled so i can normally play Overwatch 2 without having to crash/freeze my system…

If i completely exit it i can play, but i rather stay “protected”…

System specs:
I7 7700k
MSI GTX 1080ti
16gb ddr4
Windows 10 pro 64 bit.

Hopefully a blue post can reply…

You’d need to ask 360 if they updated their software to allow Overwatch.

I just send them a message. Asking if the problem is at Blizzard or at them. I even provided a link to this thread, so hopefully an employee of 360 will get in contact with Blizzard. Or sort things out themselfs.

The most strange thing is that i can play all other games from Blizzard and or on Steam without having to exit the scanner. Only OW2 is causing it.

The question is what Blizzard did it this game?
Why only this game has a problem with 360?

Hots, both Starcrafts and Diablo 2 are working.
All my Steam games, no matter if it’s new or old game - all of these are working.

But not Overwatch 2. Clicking on “play” restarts PC. It’s hard to believe that 360 hates just Overwatch 2 and that’s why they did this behaviour. It’s more likely that Blizzard did something terribly wrong in this game.

It’s an issue only with Overwatch 2. Overwatch 1 worked fine.

The question is what 360 did it this antivirus?
Why only this antivirus has a problem with Overwatch?

360 is the antivirus. Full name is 360 Total Security.

More than 40 games works fine with this antivirus. Only Overwatch 2 is not. Maybe there is some broken anti-cheats mechanism or game behaves like a virus in some way… I don’t know, but it’s weird.

360 may have updated for the other games and hasn’t added Overwatch 2. Either way, you’d have to ask that company if you want to use their software.

Like i said. I provided the information, but got no response back so far from 360. Hope they will take it seriously or i need to look for a different virusscanner. I hope some guy at Blizzard will get in contact with them to look for a solution.

I just want to play, without having to fix things myself!

Using version 10.8.0.1500 of Total Security and there are no updates tho OW2 has still the same issue!

What about removing that security app and using the one built-in with Windows? I’ve never run into this type of issue since I think all security software is bloatware, but that’s my personal preference.

I can leave Windows Defender and Firewall on and it’s causing no probs.

The reply was confusing. So removing the 360 software resolved it?

Yes, but not removing it totally. I just exit it by rightclicking it in the lower right corner.

And like i said, only OW2 is causing it, everything else i can play with virusscanner ENABLED…

Okay, so you narrowed down the issue to 360. So the next step would be contacting them for an update that includes whitelisting for the Overwatch 2 client.

I already send my message to them, but as for now i still don’t have an answer back.
