It’s almost as if blizzard thinks we care about our player icons than how cool our new skins are xd. But for real what’s with the sudden massive increase in icons, seems a bit redundant.
True, but to make almost half of your new item’s being just player icons isn’t really that exciting, IMO anywho. I hardly see anyone here actively talk about them other than wanting to see their flag.
No, Blizzard added that many icons to increase the sale of loot boxes. A customer has to buy more loot boxes to get what he or she wants from the loot boxes. For example, if there was only 1 skin and 5 icons, then the probability would be 1/6 to get the skin. Furthermore, if Blizzard adds 5 more icons, then the new probability is now 1/11, which would decrease your probability of getting that skin with That’s why Blizzard added icons to lower the chances of people getting skins, emotes, highlight intros, and so forth.
Sadly this is another situation where people have been asking for things for a long time and they finally put something in that has been requested and to make it easier to collect they put in fewer other items and now you have people both mad and happy about it. No matter what they do someone is going to be upset so I’ve taken to just accepting what they give for event items and being happy.
That’s true, but you also get less currency from duplicates so adding more icons reduces your coin generations. On average, It takes me around 100-150 loot boxes before I started getting many repeat items on this account, which was made in October of last year.
Not the best thing in the world, not everyone can drop money on boxes, so increasing coin generations is a lot more helpful than wasting money on 50 or so boxes.
