They’re reworking LW next season so don’t expect straight up buffs per se.

Hog could use a little love.

Mercy needs buffed. Slightly more range on Caduceus Staff, slight improvements to Resurrect, & shorter Valkyrie duration but make it more impactful. Rez cast time definitely should be faster in Valkyrie than outside of the ultimate.

There are more heroes I’d like changes for, but it would be more of a rebalance than a buff.

I disagree with sojourn, but I do rarely ever see her.

The game is more fun the less sojourns and hogs I see

Missing one being Doomfist while I would disagree about the Sojourn and maybe the Lifeweaver, but we know that often a successful Doomfist bugfix is a Doomfist buff.

sojourn doesnt need a buff, but she could use a slight balancing. she’s still very good, but she is not particularly optimal or ideal at the moment. her most appealing feature is her railgun. it still does 190 crit, but her primary is so weak. with the primary being weak, and full rail taking longer to gain, she is losing fights at both long and close range. this being said, she has never been good for duels, nor is she designed for winning her 1s when engaging on 0 charge.
i could see rail reduced from 130-190 to 115-175 so that her primary could gain a buff in dps.

Yes…but you have to be VERY careful with him. Platform and grip are VERY strong abilities. His large hit box, slower healing, low damage potential, etc are holding him back. But I worry that he is always going to be this razor’s edge kind of balancing. Get his healing and/or dps up just enough to make him competitive with other supports in those areas and he suddenly becomes a must pick because of the value of platform and grip.

Honestly, I really wish they had released him with only one of those. Would have been much easier to balance. I worry there is not really a good balance point to him and he will always be broken, either must pick or trash pick. Never in between.

In net, yes. But not just a buff, because hook breaks the game if he is good. He needs a rework. Which Blizzard said they are doing. So, there is potential there.

Not really. I don’t think her balance is really is in a bad place. I really think there are just certain heroes that are to strong that are suppressing her pick. If you want the snipe, Widow and Hanzo are both to strong and so, why pick her. If you play more the steady pressure with burst spikes, Soldier does that with helix. And he is strong. Then there is Cassidy, who is close to her on effective range and much easier/more reliable to play. Etc. And all the top heroes are either good at threatening her and/or can easily avoid her. So, why play her?

I have always argued that the best way to deal with balance issues is first nerf the top performers. We know they are a problem. The low performers sometimes need buffs, but just as often are fine and just being suppressed (either by being out done in their role or just countered) by the OP heroes. This prevents (or at least minimizes) power creep. Once you bring down the over performing heroes you can quickly see what heroes are still under performing and which were just being suppressed. Then you buff the weak ones.

No one ever mentioned Torb or Bastion? :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes, and the Lifeweaver release has been an unmitigated disaster. There’s a fundamental flaw in his design that hopefully they’ll address, but I’m not holding my breath.

Also, Roadhog already has a rework coming. They dumpstered him a few months ago with the promise that a rework was coming. I guess they forgot.

Bastion is a PERFECT example of what I mean about OP heroes suppressing another hero. Bastion is actually pretty decent. Except for Hanzo and Genji being in so many games. Both heroes pretty hard counter Bastion. You pretty much have to switch if either (or worse, both) are on the enemy team unless you want to spend the entire match at a massive disadvantage.

Last dev interviews I saw they said they were still working on him. My guess is it will be start of next season, probably.

if they buff her i’m going to quit permanently

Didn’t the devs just say that LW had some of the highest heal numbers of support? I agree that his damage is pretty low, but it is very easy to get 10k per 10 min heals (without healbotting).
