Saw an OW ad advertising 2cp “coming back”
In the arcade. Open Queue only. Like it always has been.
Why even advertise 2cp “coming back” when it’s just another arcade rotation?
Just bring the mode back already and stop messing with the players. If you’re going to bring it back and not even add role queue or put it into QP then why bother. Stop wasting people’s money on pointless misleading ads that advertise literally nothing new.
Yes, it was very disappointing that the assault maps were returned as the same old open queue mode that pops up every few weeks in the arcade.

They brought it back during the event, the same way they brought back other event modes. It does also pop up every 6 days or so I think normally in the arcade.
It has some of the fastest queue times in the entire arcade despite being in the horrdenous open queue format, shows just how made the demand for this mode back is
Its not why you think it is… 2CP in 5v5 is really fast and if you want to farm quick and easy wins (attack) or want to do the weekly very fast, then 2CP is your pick. For that its amazing.
Because its a mode that fundamentally does not work in Overwatch and no one has been able to figure out how to fix the fundamental core gameplay problem of the fact that an OW round does not work when it can end in 2 fights. The fundamental nature of OW prevents the game from functioning properly.
True man, wish they’d bring 2CP back with those as the only options. And Original Horizon at that.
Man, imagine removing a main mode just so can bring it back as an “event”.
What is next? 6v6 “event”?
because I will boot up OW, play few games of 2cp, and then procceed to never open the game again for another 3+ish months

What are they talking about? It’s been on rotation since OW2 launched.
2CP is great in 5v5, there’s no reason to keep it chained up in arcade as a meme mode. The loss of the second tank actually picks up the pace and you see more completions, rather than people getting hard stuck at A with no progress on the point.
I’d enjoy playing it again, but not with open queue… ew
Why can’t put the game mode in QP selection and make it 1-2-2. Would probably be a very popular mode there. Especially with Hybrid
I enjoy it, but it needs roll queue… and the maps feel…cojested? smaller? IDK, something like that like the scale was off, and they definately need some graphics tightening they don’t look any different from OW1 where all of the other maps got updates and tweaks. I’d love to see this come back into rotation for unranked roll queue.
It worked fine for 5 years in OWL. It should be ok for casual players like us.
It didnt work though. Everyone realized the problems then but nobody had a good solution for it.
I hate Kevin Sorbo.
And they need to readd it to the quick play rotation.
