Well, today is the day that all lootboxes get opened and all lootboxes stop existing.
Which I wonder if that means it’s not possible to get the basic in-game currency anymore between now and October 4th.

Well, I believe multiple content creators have mentioned Thursday as the day the NDA expires. Imagine they have a deluge of videos and posts ready to roll.
September 15th also makes sense, as this is the loot box finale if I recall. Figure something gets announced tomorrow.
Edit: Says lootboxes will be automatically opened after September 14th. Could technically be any day thereafter.
“After September 14, 2022, all remaining unopened Loot Boxes will automatically open upon login with all items contained within added to your account. Loot Boxes earned after this automatic opening will not be automatically opened until the launch of Overwatch 2 at which point all remaining unopened Loot Boxes will be automatically opened upon entering the Hero Gallery.”

There was no “last chance” event announcement either.
Highly doubt the cc will have something important to share before it has been released officially. That is the whole point of a NDA so you don’t leak info before it is officially announced.

just be patient and dont keep your hopes up too much. the “news” is that it could be delayed and that would be a huge DOWNER but hey overwatch isnt everything in my life lol… i have other things i can do
tomorrow it will be about a little less than three weeks from the release. it can still be a reasonable marketing campaign if they want to release monithematic news every Tuesday / Thursday, and consider that we lack too much info on the gallery and comps, as well as on the battle pass and kiriko.
next Tuesday will be exactly two weeks of waiting. a bit complicated, but not impossible to manage as a marketing. but we get very close to the game postponement theory if we don’t have any real news.
if we have no news by Thursday of the following week … let’s not delude ourselves with any surprise debut as happened for Apex legends: there is a smell of postponement.

I heard ML7 say it on stream last week when all the leaks were happening. I’m heard that other creators have mentioned it as well, but that’s hearsay. Haven’t come across anything written.

Still maddening we still haven’t gotten a tip on Blizz end about whatever “might” be happening to tomorrow.

Flats also said September 15th, then got really defensive about why it would be that date and just said it’s a few weeks before launch.
