222 is garbo for the most part

what happens when you have leavers and you need a tank or healer but you were selected to play dps. The no flexibility in this case is a guaranteed loss. Not a fan so far. 0/6 in placements so far. 3 games played as tank, 2 as damage, and 1 as support.

5v6 is pretty much a guaranteed loss anyways unless someone on either side is either: cheating, smurfing or boosted incredibly hard and I am talking 2 ranks or more at the very least.

In three and a half years, and dozens (or hundreds) of leavers on my teams during that time, I’ve won exactly 2 shorthanded matches, and that was when there were no role restrictions, and I’m pretty sure there was a smurf on our team both times.

If you have a leaver on your team in a match that was originally well-balanced, the match is over. You lose. Switching roles won’t help you. You’re better off leaving after the penalty period is over. You’re going to lose the SR anyway, might as well not waste your time as well.

Besides, can’t people just use LFG to form groups that aren’t role-locked?

Rly? 222 is bad because you cannot switch role when you are 5 vs 6?
Are you serious?
I am asking sincerly as no one with half a brain would take that statement serious.

Also you get locked in with bad dps/tanks/heal/etc. and cannot compensate based on your teammates.

Yeah, i loved how those people thinking they have to compensate something throw the game.

You honestly thinking this restriction is a good thing troubles me.

It is the smaller bad.

You can win with an unbalanced team. I’ve done it on a few occasions. You just need people to to play smart, and work as a team. One mercy can do a hell of a lot.

Once everyone’s role SR balances out, this shouldn’t be an issue since everyone will be playing their roles at similar SR. You just can’t blame your teammates as much. You’ll need to focus more on working WITH them and what YOU can do to help your teammates instead of doing their work for them.

If you can win 5v6 it wasn’t a fair match to begin with.

I went four and five playing dps. Every game was good and close. Not a single complaint.

Yeah I loved people who swapped from tank/support to DPS because they thought they could do better!

5v6 is usually a guarenteed loss anyway. I don’t see how this changes anything.
