Three of my friends launched the game after me and got into the game with queues of 20-50 people. I am still stuck at the game saying 20000 people ahead of me with no sign of it going down. I have relaunched the game and still nothing.

Same here. Stuck at 20,000. The game is 10 years old at this point, but still this stuff happens.
