2 weeks since they put their head in sand and ran now they are back and act like nothing ever happened.
They couldn’t even be bothered/ too greedy to give out any free skins to at least try and say sorry and soften the blow at least a bit. Giving out free stuff during bad announcements is basically standard, and they can’t even do that.
And don’t even start saying the triple xp weekend was for that. If that’s the case, then there is truly no hope for this game.
I don’t expect compensation for their terrible mismanagement of this game: I expect them to do better.
Empty apologies don’t do anything: I expect change.
I’m already not playing the game. I’ve done my part. Now, either they do something worthy of my time, or I continue to not play. The ball is in their court.
I’d want them to stop punching people in the face and not expect any backlash.
I wouldnt want to get punched in a face, and i didnt. What i meant to say is, that there is not really a point. What’s done is done, and unless it was like free 5 mythic skin bundle, it wouldnt make much of a difference. People would change context of their anger into something like: ‘‘Lmao they scrapped pve (while not true, pve is coming, just not all of it) after 4 years of promises, and gave us free x in return! lol what a joke dev…’’
You say you are already not playing the game, but apparently you have a need to tell everyone, that you are no longer playing the game. Which still makes you a very upset, yet still potentional customer, that will log on from time to time, till he forgets why he was angry in the first place, remembers all the fun stuff he enjoys about this game, and will start/keep playing.
All of those people who are vocal about how they stopped playing because of pve situation, will be the first to update and play season 6.
We still dont even have any news whats with the missing season 2 cosmetics.
I love how often i read how good the devs are with communication and im just here thinking what communication? They cant even answer the easiest questions and when then only give the most vague answer.
the question everyone is asking is “so what is overwatch 2 if you’re complaining that you are developing the equivalent of another game?” because you know, now they are sorry that the company required in the project was bigger than expected… but wasn’t it exactly for this reason that we sacrificed more than two years of ow1 updates?
the community is not fool: the 5v5 was wanted by OwL (this is demonstrated by the extreme precedence of releasing Ow2 at the tournament in 2022), the monetization was wanted by activision… people were asking for a revolution of the pve, not what it was already available from archives IF overwatch hadn’t stopped updating. but they stopped it, so Ow2 is just “overwatch 1 without the collecting pleasure and again to waiting for a pve”.
