2 h suspension from qp for your server issues

I love how today you have server issues, talked with some friend and had same problem. Ofc I avoided comps after having one match there with this problem. Now 2 h suspension as kept kicking me off the matches.

good job dudes.

So … all your “troubleshooting” was asking “some friend” about your disconnections?
Cool.

The day when you read something it will be nice, they had THE SAME ISSUE, my internet is fine as I can keep playing other games that need the net. Now can’t even stay in the home page lol. I can login but after some time it crash.

Think next time.

If other people playing on the same server don’t get kicked… then it can’t really be the server, now can it?

If you’ve been disconnected 6 times in your last 20 games, maybe you should’ve taken the hint that you shouldn’t be playing at that moment. In addition, I haven’t had any server issues since OW2 launched so I find the repeated claims about server instability hogwash until proven true by a trusted third party.

I suppose it depend on the region you play from, I left some qp as was impossible to play, people flying and the chars were flying or sinking in the ground (Orisa was funny to see lol) I played a pair and everything seemed fine and everything went smooth, then again, in those matches people kept ‘‘leaving’’ but I suppose was a server problem , some games were 2 v 3

again played only qp and wanted to play, simple, I didn’t had this issue from ow 2 laugh too till today, the fact you don’t have the issu doesn’t mean don’t exist

Does your friend live close by to you? Networking is very complicated with how data is routed, so you could both be affected by the same node in between you guys and the server.

Generally speaking, network related issues are rarely at the server end, otherwise you’d see a massive influx of reports from people claiming issues all at once. In nearly all cases the issue is client side or somewhere in between.

its more than likely these random attacks that are happening on low tier ISPs caused by international DDoS attacks. Than it is on blizzard.

Unless you have networking mapping live and enabled when these outtages happen and you can discern that it is specifically a Blizzard leased data center. It more than likely isn’t.

I often seen what I would say are complete and total failures by these game companies to understand that not everyone is on a Tier IV fault tolerance for an ISP.

Most ISPs don’t even pass Tier 1 qualifications! Let alone regional “ponds” or county pools meet Tier 1. and yet people think that magically everyone has the same level.

Around here, even if I have my equipment hooked up to a 3,000 VA UPS, a generator and it runs my PC and modem. I can still outlast our ISPs pond for approx 3.5 hours post-incident after their network completely faults out.

Even up to 2 years ago. They could barely prevent random outtages from occurring weekly, sometimes 6 times in a day.

Sadly people are going to tell you “dont play the game if your ISP is bad and go buy another ISP service”. Despite being clueless that most of these regions don’t offer but 1 service.

Thats just the fallout from our community not wanting to be unified anymore and inclusive of all gamers and until it begins to happen to their ISP. They wont care.

and the last I checked. These ISP attacks are starting to target more and more ISPs across the United States. Its not a matter of “If” it is a matter of “when”.

and it does NOT help that Microsoft’s biggest security vulnerability is its P2P update system. A MASSIVE security hole exists in it, and they clearly will not fix it! Disgusting… and the main reason I told the career of I.T. to “take a hike”.

No chance in hell, a person can fix forced Updates deployed that go bad.

Try to get some knowledge next time my guy. You are absolutely out of your depth. Point by point:

1 - You being able to reach X servers doesn’t mean you should be able to reach Z servers
2 - Google about Routing and ISPs before acting up
3 - Learn how to use a VPN to properly troubleshoot connectivity and routing issues.
4 - Asking a dude with your same ISP does nothing lol

PS: If you are dropping from several games SO MUCH but the rest of the players arent, theres nothing much to say. Take the L , walk out, and troubleshoot properly my guy.

i can count on 1 hand the number of times ive been ‘disconnected’ from the server…you should really be using a wired connection and not wifi for gaming

same , I use a wired one, it happened just yesterday.

read the guy above you, but again, you don’t read anything because is better to feed your ego.

had a lot of people in friend list who couldn’t play due the same problem.

honestly the server has gone severely downhill lately like i have the best service provide in my area and i can see spikes in IND when i shouldnt get any spikes

did it occur to you that most of us don’t encounter the problem you have today?
so try not to blame bz right away just to justify your eager to flame the company
lots of things can go wrong and lead to the same result
bz server, you IP supplier, hard/software malfunction.
2hr is a lot i mean, why you keep doing that when you know sth is off today?

Its amazing how you throw this sentence when you clearly are the one that :
1 - Doesn’t read
2 - Clearly don’t have the knowledge
3 - Instead of actually learning, accuse others of not reading.

The dude above me is literally confirming my points my guy, whats wrong with you?

Again R E A D :

Even if its a different one, same locations/hub of providers means nothing.
Follow steps 1-3 if you want to learn. Keep throwing stupid responses if you don’t.

Your call, pal.

Read again HOW you answer, THEN HOW you answer. THEN tell me the differences. I focus on who explain without arrogance now.

ofc didn’t went comp after that, wanted to do qp as I had time only for short matches.

thanks for the explanation

you know 2hr suspension means you dc, for any reason idc, 6 out of 20 matches recently
QP implented leaver penalties since S9, it’s like aimost half a year. probably too late to complain about it .
clearly the 20mins suspend when the 4th dc happened didn’t make you wonder if you should keep jumps in and dc and ruin other players’ experience.
you just have to try, right?

Again with the “read” advice that you clearly don’t follow.
Focus on learning instead of complaining and getting triggered and you will do much better.

I already gave you the steps, we are done here. Thread muted.

The servers got DDOSed or something a while ago, but there hasn’t been anything recently

NP.

Im getting information from former colleagues that ISps are still facing random DOS attacks from Foreign countries and that we are seeing “clogged” regions occuring right now.

IDK. There is some folks out here that don’t stay in touch with people that work on actual systems and understand that the situation at hand isn’t rose-gold and diamonds.

FFS Overwatch Quickplay should have remained as Recreational Mode and that Competitive should have been the mode where hardcores stay.

Well, I don’t like to be a doomsayer, but I predict the time is coming soon, where a big national tech outtage is going to hit, it will more than likely be in random spurts and lots of DCs are going to happen at random, and rack up lots of people’s gamer penalties to get them time-out bans.

I dont see even Tier IV fault tolerance centers holding out very well on this potential horizon.

I mean, if they would all just close their Remote access administration ports, actually show up at the warehouse where their servers are housed, WORK from the actual server racks, and re-image EVERYTHING to bare metal UNIX / LINUX distros we’d be fine.

But nope. everyone gotta run Windows Server and Telnet into their stuff from HOME.

until artificial suspensions are removed, i don’t foresee a resurgence, even with 6 v 6 restored.
