Just because balancing is garbage and 2/2/2 happened to show it even further, doesn’t mean it’s 2/2/2 that people are complaining about. But i’m pretty sure, you want that to be the case to rally people behind you, even if they disagree.
I disagree. I am far more happy with the changes
It wasn’t about happiness… you missed the point.
So the answer is none? At best that’s anecdotal and you have no numbers or stats to speak of.
there are less forum users than the numbers playing games. that is the evidence. I can guarantee that many people dont care about chatting with people out of game. they just wanna play and not just the young kids either.
how about YOU show evidence that literally every play saw that poll? or how about literally every play VOTED in that poll. the numbers in the poll definitely dont match every platforms player base let alone them all being online here during it. i wasn’t on the forums for 2 weeks and missed the poll. so my vote clearly didnt count. theres definitely others who missed/ignored it the probability that there isnt is infinitesimal.
You’re joking right? EVERY game has far less forum users than actually playing the game. Just because there are less forum users doesn’t mean it’s ONLY people who have a certain view point, like those who are pro-Bastion, who are on the forums. That’s insanity.
Say it for yourself, a lot of “2 2 2 people” disagreeing with you here as you can see, you are the one unhappy and you can always leave.
no. it’s obvious. not every player watches gameplay. they just wanna play. not every player cares about forums and DEFINITELY is not online at every moment of the day. are you on 24/7 for the last 3 years? no? thanks for proving my point.
count the forum users. view the total player count. forum users < players.
it greatly skews the player base. if people stopped playing bc of 222 they will NOT be represented in the poll. not only the players who quit and announced it but those who simply moved on. if you stop playing a game do you stay on forums related to it? no a sane person moves on and spends their time elsewhere. thats a discrepancy that canNOT be ignored and youre sadly trying to.
God how I miss the times when you could actually play multiple games in a row without having to wait 5-10 mins!!!
Waiting simulator 2019. Good job Blizzard.
I agree with both you and OP. I love rolequeue, but I’m even unhappier now because they did nothing to balance the heroes for a 2-2-2 context. Maybe roll back some of the twelve thousand D.Va nerfs that failed to kill the GOATS meta she wasn’t responsible for in the first place?
Bottom line is that Blizzard knows if people are playing Overwatch more or less since Role Queue. I suspect that there have been more hours played per week since Role Queue.
Ok, time to put a bullet into that as well.
Say you had a sample of 100.
And 75% voted yes, and the population was 10,000,000.
You would be 99% confident that the real answer was in the 64%-86% range.
Oh wait since the argument was more people like roleQ than not, we are extremely firm ground.
Sorry, so, looks like we have a winner, more people like roleQ than not, by still quite a large margin.
But we knew that already.
But like Overbuff even if only 10 people voted it still validates 30 million players, cuz data pool size doesn’t matter.
Or so I’m told.
people generally don’t come to the forums just to state they are happy with the game. most of the people i with play love the changes… actually all of them
They say something is negative by not bringing up how it’s received to begin with, but the fact that they bring it up means they have enough numbers to confirm the statement.
Hey, at least we have good team comp.
No we don’t. We have dysfunctional 2-2-2 comps, without the ability to fix it.
We finally get a Tank and Support without having to ask 15 times for one now because wow did that happen from time to time and I’m a Support Main so solo healing was kinda hard at times
Overbuff was also biased. Specifically, towards high ranked players. We know that clearly because the player distribution per rank in their database is much higher than the official numbers.
But even then, Overbuff sample size is at least one degree of magnitude higher than any random strawpool you can gather about role queue. So while the data is biased and should be taken with a grain of salt, it’s still a large pool, which means higher chance to reflect reality.
Also, Overbuff collected empirical data. Strawpools are subjective feelings that can change over time. So what was true about those pools before role queue hit live might not reflect reality after one month of role queue on live. Many people might have changed their opinions (for either side), and we need to get another sample to see how public opinion evolved over time.
(Which is why election pools are made during the entire duration of a political campaign, instead of only once at the start)
uhhm well im pretty pleased by the fact that i get 2 f ing healers if i tank or 2 f ing tanks if im healing … and if i want to DPS it doesnt end in us beeing 5 Dps and a mercy …
but u go friend Speak for “the people” even if i dont even know U … smh
They have not shown any of these supposed “numbers”.
