Yes! I spend more time than I’d like to admit trying to talk players off a cliff. I told a group after a triple DPS comp was selected that could solo as Moria. I wasn’t sure it would work, but I wanted to inspire confidence. The map happened to be Liniang Night Market, which is a beastly map for Moria if the enemy isn’t running D’va. I got 15k healing that round and we won. The dude complaining complimented me at the end.
I have a similar Paris story, but you get the idea.
I’m not sure you know what “essential” means. If the non-existent tools were “essential” then nobody would be able to climb. I don’t have any problem climbing - at least, I haven’t every since I stopped blaming external factors and worked to improve myself.
Improve yourself and you’ll climb. It’s the most reliable way, and there’s no magic solution that involves petitioning the development team to add some pointless feature.
mutual win/loss/tie records is essential because what if someone is sabotaging your games. tools that facilitate recognizing this behavior are essential imho
That’s the worst situation to witness, but it’s always nice when it works. I’m a software engineer and my social skills suck so I definitely appreciate people like you.
You have a really good point and I hope 2-2-2 will not fall into the same pitfall. LFG is a great tool and help to form the group you want to play with/in but it has no effect on the enemy team. If it would find a mirror match it would make much more sens but as it is now locking spots just puts you in a disadvantage.
It is possible that 2-2-2 will fail as bad as LFG simply by not be strict enough. If 2-2-2 will be optional and even worse is mixed in with 6-6-6 then it has no chance. Imagine if no hero limit would be optional and you can opt out but the enemy still can stack heroes.
And no, it will not fix OW over night, but it can provide better matches if both sides have the same conditions and limitations, both get 2 Tanks, 2 DPS and 2 Support all willing to play the role (at least signed up for) and have the SR/MMR at the role. So even if a DPS go Tank or a Support get mad and want shoot things, they will have the appropriated SR and when they not perform well enough (or better) they get to the appropriated rating for the role. Maybe they like the role and play it more often. The match maker will be able to find a fair matchup and I hope we will appreciate it.
Except wow is in a much worse state than ow is. Idk anything about 8.2 because i stopped playing a few months back, but judging by the previous patches, the game is not worth playing until 9.0 comes out.
I don’t think that 222 will solve the game’s issues.
Throwers not being punished.
Dps that can’t dps. This will be even worse as I won’t have the option to swap off support to crank up the team’s damage as another dps.
Brain dead feeder team mates that never group up.
Team mates that don’t know what a barrier is and that staying behind it is good.
I also predict that dps mains won’t want to queue 20 minutes, so we’ll see tanks as Hog and Zary or Dva. And also an upsurge in dps Moira and Baps in teams.
Sure they are, I don’t buy that line for a minute. You’re entire opening comment was comparing it to LFG, they are conceptually different tools, there was no statement about quad-dps.
