Nobody likes Mei anyway, she is anti-fun. Just hit her with a huge nerf hammer and be done with it.

Honestly Mei’s ice is ridiculously durable and should be made more fragile. Ice wall has way too much HP and never dies, while her ice block can stall for 4 seconds with no counterplay.

On topic - most people dislike Mei. A hero who has CC tied to her primary that literally stops you from moving while you’re headshot (which is a slow, confirmed death for most of the hero roster), is not going to be liked by many.
I don’t think she’s OP though.

I Mei truly the most hated hero? I don’t know.
Dva, Genji, Hanzo, Widowmaker, Pharah and Bastion are also pretty hated. But again, I don’t know who’s most hated.
Nevertheless is being disliked a bad reason to nerf/rework a hero, no matter who the hero is.
And I do agree with you that Mei isn’t OP.
Yeah, i don’t think it is. But unfortunately, “frustrating to play against” has led to nerfs, even when the hero themselves has underperformed (i.e. Torb, Sombra).
If people cry enough, the devs will do it. 
True, but even then does it seems so random.
Few players complain about Torbjorn and he gets nerfed.
A lot of players complain about Widowmaker for months and nothing happens.
It seems more like how the developers sees them and if it aligns with the players.

Mei is one of the 10 least used heroes in the game. You barely see her when you play, but since she’s in OWL then someone has to come complaining in the forums about how she needs to be nerfed even tho they barely play against her.
The majority of people in this forum are probably low gold players but you read these topics and you would think they’re all top 500 playing against pros on ladder every day.

Killing her once she pops out is pretty good counterplay, you are now a person up and will take the point from there.
She was picked on OWL, so the haters are coming out because they have a scrap of ammo to use on her now.
