✅ [2-2-2] DPS streamers gonna quit

Thanks!

I always need to watch my words on this forum^^,
for some people it can feel toxic,
because I want to be straight to the point.

But about mercy, maybe that’s the way to get people on the healer role.

just a final thought on this (cause frankly im a bit tired of having the whole 222 conversation)

im going to stand by this…but the solution that was needed was not a forced role queue…because you see the issues that it causes…it was to work on improving LFG…as it does the same things without being forced…it should be up to the players to decide what they want out of their games (its blizz’s job to give them the means to do so - which LFG does)…its the only way they couldve done it without alienating large chunks of the player base like theyre doing now with this 1-option only mandatory system

Because DPS queue is entirely separate from other queues.

And if there’s a scarcity of Tanks/Healers to match with, then you either make it more difficult to earn the right to match with them, or you deal with long queue times.

And the long queue times are unacceptable.

So that leaves you with very few options.

You are perfectly fine in stating this, as it is what you think.

I disagree, specifically about CDPR. They are a cut above the rest when it comes to game development. I need no more proof then The Witcher 3. If they threw their hat in the ring for a “hero shooter”, not sure why they would, but if they did my money would be on the table for it being vastly better then Blizzard’s version.

That would only be true if the numbers for overwatch players were dropping, and none of us know overwatch’s player count because blizzard doesn’t release them. New streamers embrace the new changes or binch about them which viewers respond to and like to watch. More content, new people, good entertainment.

I understand and I agree. But, DPS players are already unhappy with long queue times. So, to try and solve that problem you’re going to make them unhappy by giving them less SR, when they win. How is that fair to them?

Would you prefer to deal with EA devs instead?

And CDPR doesn’t do multiplayer FPS really anyways.

Comprises have downsides.

This is the most tolerable downside I can come up with.

And I like to believe I’ve thought of everything, but I’d be happy to be proven wrong.

The forum is a scary place. Getting reported for stating your opinion which they disagree with is baffling to me.

snowflake community.

Well, I’m not trying to play the right or wrong game with you. I do understand where you’re coming from. I just feel that wouldn’t be the best solution. You are solving one problem by creating another. Know what I mean?

I like to think of it as trading something that’s unacceptable, for something that’s merely annoying.

What about the lower ranks? They will still experience long queue times.
Not as long as those in GM, but they are still bad.

Fair enough. But, I don’t think a lot of people would see it that way. I think doing something like that would end up being more discouraging than encouraging. And, it might make people quit or Smurf.

Though, one could argue, leaving Q times the way they are, could result, in the same thing. It’s a murky and complicated situation, to be sure.

Which version of EA, versus which version of Blizzard?

The 2006-2010 Blizzard couldn’t be touched. They had the stones to tell people that they made games the way they wanted to, and if you disagree go play something else. That’s how they got to the top. It wasn’t until later that Blizzard became “woke”.

EA has never been my favorite publisher, but I have never fallen for their bad business practices, because to be honest, they are pretty easy to avoid.

I hope they never do, it would taint their development standard, in my opinion. I see a young Blizzard in how CDPR interacts with their community. This is why I know if they did decide to create a competitor to Overwatch it would be the superior product.

Eh as gold player (profile open) I honestly don’t think its that bad, I’ve never had to wait longer than 7 minutes to play dps.

“I want to play dps in overwatch but queue is too long.”

You can play [not overwatch] while you wait or you can play [not dps].

You guys are genius.

One of the best parts of OW was that you could launch the game and get into a game almost instantly. Now you have to wait 7+ minutes to play a 9 minute game. It says a lot when you can potentially spend more time waiting than you spend playing the game.

This is like 2 am or something usually its like 4 minutes but in addition if want instant game isnt there classic in arcade. Ill be honest I havent played it but from what I hear it has quick ques.

Problems with QPC:

It is not the same as what QP was before
It isn’t ranked as some people want to play ranked without Role Lock.
