Players at all tiers have indicated there is a problem with excessive queue times for dps, and as such, it is a very big problem for the majority of the entire playerbase

2-2-2 is actually making the game better. Go to any other game with a tank/dps/healer combo (WOW), and DPS always had to wait longer. If you want to play the most desired class in the game, you should be patient.
Not only that, but now players across the board have to be good at their ROLE. Every ROLE can counter anything. Tanks and healers are always complaining about DPS nowadays, but even tanks and healers can counter certain enemy combos. If the enemy team has a widow, tank should switch to monkey. If enemy team has pharah, tank should switch to Dva. If reaper is problem, healer should switch to brigette.
There’s just more combos and more flexibility then ever before. Never understood why a DPS should switch to a support mid game. You play your role, done.
EDIT: Oh, and I main DPS. I honestly don’t mind waiting because I know there’ll always be two tanks and two supports unlike before.

I think we will all begin to see the wisdom of 2-2-2 when we stop asking “Who’s your main?” and start asking “Who’re your mains?”
At least one point of 2-2-2 is to get players to realize that they can function adequately in any role. And they might even find other roles fun to play.
Hey, I’m happy for you - if indeed that’s true. But it’s not true for a large portion of players. You choose not to believe us. That’s your choice.
Queue times are bad for all levels - not just the high tiers. Believe what you wish.

A small number of posts on the forums doesn’t seem like a “large portion of players”. If there are indeed so many people having long que’s it would make sense that the forums would be flooded with complaints but that is not the case. Like I said in my post, which I don’t know if you read all of it, but I said that a small number of players could be experiencing an issue with the system that may be causing a larger que than intended. If that is the case I’m sure the devs will be aware of it and work to fix it. Other than that it doesn’t seem like most players are having this issue, again, if it were true and players were waiting 10 minutes or more for a game the game would be dead by now and there would be a huge uproar from the player base because that would indeed be unacceptable, alas, that is not the case.

I just came back to Overwatch. Now, I don’t play Comp and haven’t in at least 18 months, but even when I did I was never high ranked.
That said, in QP all three roles have had fast queues for me. So, I’m having no issues except I found out I actually like having two of each role on a team. I hated RoleQ on PTR, but it grew on me since coming back.
Don’t get me wrong, I still play QPC as well, but I also play Total Mayhem and Mystery Heroes. So . . . .

Wow. So you do work for Apple? xD For real though, Crissan, I think it’s funny that people are so vehemently defending what they know is a broken system. I don’t play OW much anymore, so I don’t have a horse in this race. I’m simply amused from a psychological perspective.

People who complain of ridiculous queue times at low levels are just flat out lying. Even in diamond you’re not seeing the claims of 20 minute+ queue times that the lower ranked players are saying are happening.
It’s just basic percentages. The higher ranked players are going to face higher queue times because they have a much smaller population. For people who are in the median population or below it’s just not happening.

You do understand that it’s possible for some users to see long queue times and others to not, correct? Please tell me you have that level of understanding.

Blizzard even acknowledges higher queue times. I wonder, would you say they are lying?
Can you read? Higher queue times for DPS players does not mean inordinately high. If the tank and support queue time is 4 minutes but a DPS is 6-8 minutes then yes it’s higher but it’s not anywhere near the times that only higher ranked players are experiencing.
